Question about the leaderboards

Does anyone know if you get EC even if by the end of the month you aren't on it? Like you get on it for a day, next day, you are off. How much EC would you gain?

I don't believe so.
Straight from the blog post:
REWARDS FOR LEADERBOARDS - You'll now receive 25,000 EC per creature that finishes on the monthly leaderboards at the end of the month.
