After an explosion in an old laboratory sprays chemicals into the city's air, a select few affected individuals are beginning to realize that they have now been gifted with amazing new powers; powers a normal human being could never dream of. The human race is evolving but the media and the government are quick to try to cover it up. The civilians are quickly catching on to what has occurred. Now your fate is in your hands. As one of the few newly gifted will you use your powers to protect the city or will you use them to spread terror and gain power?

Hero/Villain Clothes: A burgundy knee length dress that flares out at the bottom. A black utility belt with quick release mechanism that allows her to abandon it quickly should the need arise. Calf high, back boots with no buckles, clips etc. A crimson cape, long enough to wrap around herself and matching mask which covers her eyes
Civilian Clothes: Jeans, comfortable shoes, a dark shirt and some form of jacket.
Bio (Detail): Grew up in a small, poor family in the heart of the city. Kat lost her mother at a young age when she was shot in a robbery. Her mother who worked part-time at the corner store where the crime occurred attempted to talk the robber out of what he was trying to do, and out of impatience, he killed her. Kat now lives alone with her father and younger sister in a low-budget apartment downtown and works full-time as a singer/waitress at a scummy club.
Likes: Compliments, honesty, common sense and Chinese food.
Dislikes: Surprises, shady characters and people who are a threat to others (criminals).
Powers/Abilities/Talents: Ability to read or sense the emotions and/or control the emotions or feelings of others. Has also taken a few martial arts classes.
Weaponry: A small dagger that she will only use if the situation demands it.
Weaknesses: She can sense the pain of those nearby and this stresses her. She can also be fooled by those who can accurately fake their feelings.
Extra: 😊

RP Sample (Must be minimum of three sentences): A ragged old man approached her, his eyes wide with desperation. A flood of emotions a coursed through her mind : fear, sadness, shame. The last one caught her of guard as he held out an empty soup can. Defeated, Kat dropped in the tips that she had received at work that day and gave a polite smile. The man's face lit up : happiness, gratitude, joy.

Powers/Abilities/Talents: Very slight teleporting and lightning magic, but thinks it's something huge.

Alias: Viper
Gender: Female
Physical description (or photo): Approximately six foot three, with middle of her back length dirty blond hair-more dark blond than light-with gray-blue eyes. She is mostly legs and has long arms.
Hero/Villain Clothes: She usually wears a full suit-long sleeved with shorts attached,shorts reach her knee- made of a black material much like spandex, but thicker. She has her hair up in a bun, wears solid black gloves, and black knee high boots.
Civilian Clothes: She can usually be seen wearing a black dress reaching past her feet. The top is simple, with a short sleeves. She can also be wearing an orange skirt and black shirt. Both matching the requirements of her dress. She wears no gloves and has regular black boots. She wears a small charm of a fire opal in a necklace.
Bio (Detail): Alyss was raised by both parents, in Britain, until she was 13, at which point her parents were killed in a car crash. Left with no other adults she faked living with her non-existent aunt. She kept up the facade until she was 17 and old enough to move to America. Once there she moved to the city she currently resides in.
Likes: Cats, snakes, lizards, the colors black and orange, pain, insanity, and food.
Dislikes: The colors pink and yellow, dogs, birds, and fish, and weird foreign food that doesn't revolve around chocolate.
Powers/Abilities/Talents: She has telepathy as well as shape-shifting into animals. She is an exceptionally nimble girl, and is highly intelligent.
Weaponry: She prefers to use a longbow, or a recurve bow, but is handy with staves as well.
Weaknesses: She is allergic to caramel, and tends to link with an animals pain. She has social anxiety and claustrophobia-which is triggered by being in large crowds as well as small places.
Extra: 😊 She is only a villain to get herself into a normal life, but she does not have the people skills to be a hero.

I sat down at my table, scanning my surroundings. Truthfully I was terrified, it was my first day in America and I had nothing to my name, but skills that could only get me places with thievery.
I sighed as I watched a man begin to eat a mound of chips with a small salad. /Is he trying to die?\ I thought pushing my hair out of my eyes.
I reached for my pendant, and felt the reassuring chill of the gemstone against my palm. I smiled before leaving my table. /Somethings are just too much for a simple girl to understand.\ I though as I turned a corner.

Hero or villain: Hero
Alias: Icy
Gender: Female
Physical description (or photo): Short hazel brown hair and chocolate eyes. Wears glasses with a blue frame, about 1.4 meters tall.
Hero/Villain Clothes: A long-sleeves light blue shirt (horseshoe cuffs) with white tights and black knee-length boots. Instead of her glasses, she wears a mask which helps her see.
Civilian Clothes: Black polo shirt and jeans/shorts, along with red Converse sneakers.
Bio (Detail): She was raised in the North Pole, and as a young child fell into a nearby river, almost drowning. Despite her body temperatures sinking degrees below 0, she still survived the ordeal and happened to have powers. Soon after, she moved to the city with her cousin Insyirah in hope of a new start.
Likes: Sushi, raw fish, anything that reminds her of home.
Dislikes: Fire, hot days. It makes her ability to turn things into ice less.
Powers/Abilities/Talents: Turning things into ice/spraying snow out of her fingertips
Weaponry: Daggers that unsheath from the sleeves of her shirt.
Weaknesses: Fire

We really needed another hero. 😃 Can I ask though for a quick rp sample (just 3 sentences or so would be fine) and I really like your ice powers but the idea was that their powers came from and explosion of chemicals in the city. A form for you! (I'll finish it tomorrow, now that I had an idea. At an absurdly late hour.) And a question! Can he be a bit of a hero and a villain?

Name: Antonio "Toni" Marquez
Age: 19
Hero or villain: Villain; think "Nice is not good" trope, ie. opposite of batman.
Alias: Scaramouche
Gender: Male

Physical description (or photo): Distinctly South American. Almost shaggy - but not unkempt, straight, black hair. On the taller side of average with a thin build. Dark brown eyes. Mr. Confident might say of himself that he's pretty darn good looking (which wouldn't be a lie).

Hero/Villain Clothes: His clothing resembles something an actor may wear, and slightly clowny, in dark colours, with a masquerade-inspired mask.
Civilian Clothes: Often wears a casual buttoned shirt with a nice pair of jeans. Sometimes this is accompanied by a jacket.

Bio (Detail): Toni grew up in South America, and he moved to the United States only a few years ago, with his family. His life has been fairly ordinary, though Toni himself is anything but. He went to school and enjoyed his hobbies, until his powers manifested after the chemical nonsense. Toni practiced with it a lot because it soon figured out it required a lot of work to get the power to do specific things. He started using the powers to affect the world around him, and sometimes it's good, but other times, it's not.

Likes: Magic tricks, activity, puzzles, weird and random stuff
Dislikes: Bad magic tricks, being bored, mundane tasks
Powers/Abilities/Talents: Awesome at illusions and disappearing, extremely resourceful, acrobatic, and can manipulate energy to a degree (to create SMALL explosions, or trigger an explosion, or make the air pulse, a little invisibility, and stuff).

Weaponry: Anything could be used as a weapon if he needs one.

Weaknesses: He's not indestructible. He's not hugely muscular or anything. Toni is limited mainly by the energy in his own body, and technically his creativity (but he's quite creative, so that's not really an issue).

Extra: He has a light accent. It's not the first thing a person notices, but it's there.
Other: 😋 (Because you wrote 'other' not 'extra' up top, and I happened to notice.)

Sample: Toni stared intently at his reflection in the mirror. His image flickered out of existence for just an instant before reappearing. Perfect. That meant he could use his power to manipulate light, albeit only a little, too.

Physical description (or photo): Wasp is has normal, tan skin. He has floppy brown hair and very dark brown charming eyes.
Hero/Villain Clothes: Same as civilian clothes
Civilian Clothes:He wears blue jeans and a black hoddie, he has black and neon green shoes with black and white socks
Bio (Detail): He was born to a woman named Grace, he had two older brother and sister, twins. And he had a little sister. His little sister was Moth, his older brother was Fox, older sister was Red. When Wasp was nine his father killed his mother and toke his kids to live with his gang. Fox enjoyed it and stayed, but with the help of a kind woman named Midnight, Wasp, Moth, and Red escaped the gang. Midnight gave up her life for the kids. After they left, they had to walk through lots of forest to get to the town, and Moth got a bad cold, andjust when it seemed she was getting better she died. Red and Wasp made it to town and were adopted by a gray haired woman named Moss. She toke good care of them, when Wasp was 16 he and Red meet Fox again. Fox told them that he killed Moth because she was slowing them down on their walk to town. Inraged, Wasp killed his brother. On Wasps 23rd brithday, his fathers old gang raided his, Red's, and Moss's house. They killed Moss, and stole Red. They knoked Wasp out with a bat, when he woke, he felt, strange, like he could beat anything, like he had a power of strength. Once he found out what happened, he set out for revenge. He plans to one day have renvenge. But for now, he works as a bag-boy at the super-market.
Likes: Family, Alcohol, snow, quite, and more alcohol. blue, red, black, neon green,
Dislikes: Murders, lairs, yellow, rude people.
Powers/Abilities/Talents: Power: Extra super strength. Some talents: Swiming, climbing, fighting, knives.
Weaponry: He always has a knive on the buttom of his right shoe, just in chase.
Weaknesses: Familys, people when they beg for mrecy.
Extra: Most people around town dont turst him, and warn their kids to stay away from the pyhco in the black hoodie, but if someone does talk to him, its most likely just to tell him they are sorry for his loss, everybody heard what happened to his family. But they dont know what happened to Fox or Moth, right now, they are thought of by everyone as missing.

I woke up with a ringing in my ears, and a horrid pain in my head. I sat up from wear i lay and rudded my head where it hurt. A big huge bump was there. I opened my eyes and looked around, I was on the floor for some reason, and the house was a mess. "Moss?" I called out to my adopted mother, "Moss, what happened?" No answer. I got to my feet off the floor and walked out of the room to the living room, I stopped dead in my tracks, there, in the conor of the living room, lay Moss, still as stone, covered in blood. Then I started to remember, to remeber everything, them rushing in, killing Moss, hitting me in the head with a bat.. /Red!/ I thought. /They toke Red!/ I hung my head, all I could do was hope she was safe. I sat down on the floor next to Moss for a long time, crying, staring at my knee's. Finally, I got off the floor, in the room. The cake was still on the table, the 'happy 23rd birthday banner'still hanging on the wall. I grabed the knive off the table and stuffed it in my shoe, then sat down, and ate my slice of cake. Then I got up and called 911. Making a promise in my mind to Moss, to advenge her.
