How do clicks work

I am new to this game and I hear that some monsters evolve by clicks but... Is it by just clicking the egg a bunch of times or other people clicking it once?

The # of clicks is counted by unique clicks, or how many different people clicked on your critters.

This means that even though *you* may have clicked/refreshed a critter's profile a bunch of times, the clicks will stay the same.

"The idea of a click exchange site is simple. You help other users by clicking and feeding their eggs and in return, that person helps you!

You can list up to 10 creatures that you want other click exchange users to feed and view the list of other users' links. By clicking on the links of other member's, you can earn credits. (One credit per click.) When another user clicks on one of your links, one credit is deducted from your total."
