Prizes for donation

So, It's pretty rare that I check the donation center and find anything at all. I think that's because people don't really feel like giving their itens to random people, after all they will not receive anything for it.

So what I suggest is a prize system for the donations. It could be something simple like a little amount of EC, or maybe CC for really rare items.

They could even use a "staircase" prize system [sorry, I do not know another word to describe it];

10 itens - XXX CC
25 itens - XXX CC + 1 random common item
50 itens CC + 1 monthly creature
etc.

Well, that's just an "bonus" idea. Even just the ´little amount of CC´ is enough to me.

Hmm, well, the thing is...
If they are getting something back for it, then it wouldn't really be a "donating" type of thing, if you understand where I'm going at.

At least, that's how I define "donation." You are giving something away without expecting something in return (except for the feeling that you have probably given it away to someone who needs it more). 😋

Another concern about this is that people may start donating just for the prizes. People will begin throwing away unwanted items, while other people pick it up and donate it again just for the gain. (So the item is recycled solely for the purpose of gaining CC)

It would be nice if there were little things you can do to earn CC though. .-.

But I would like the donation center show who donated the item (and there can be an option to change it to anonymous).

I agree with @iceiceice If you are donating, you will do it to help other people and get nothing in return. If you do it to get a prize, there's no point in the word 'donating' in the phrase Donation Center. Sorry, I hate turn your idea down, but that's not how donating works

Nope, donated itens could not be donated again. But yeah, I think you are right... I just wanted some motivation, cause as said, I found just 2 itens there since I joined eggcave. So they could open a new place or just change its name, and the prize could be random [like, dunno, 20 to 100 ec].

Showing who donated would be cool too... And, dunno, maybe they could simply make a Rank of ´best donators´ of the 100 users who donate more itens, without giving prizes at all. o3o

A leaderboard for benefactors is actually not a bad idea ^w^
