Fellow musicians and composers?

Hi so err I am a musician and composer.

And I wanted to ask for some general opinion on two pieces I have written for local contests.

I need to have some constructive criticism on this before I enter them... so help??

Hello! I'm a young singer and composer. I'm not valid but I do have dreams of becoming a famous singer and songwriter. 😊 here's one of my Christmas songs, since its the holiday season.

It's Christmas, it's Christmas! The snow is falling down and everyone is coming to town. It's Christmas, it's Christmas! Spread the holiday cheer because Christmas is near! The people will be caroling and filling the tree with ornaments. They will be dashing to get presents for the children who are waiting for their messages to be sent. Oh, it's Christmas, it's Christmas! Hang up the stockings and wrap the gifts, children of all ages will be hoping that Santa's not too late... tonight... it's Christmas, it's Christmas, it's Christmas, it's Christmas, it's Christmas!

Hi! I'm a *cough* erm, musician. Ish. Well, I'm a percussionist. But I have an ear for music.

Whispers:
Threnody for Broken: Your song was rather repetitive and lacked something to make it interesting.

Legends: some parts of it I really enjoyed. Others... well. You can only go so far with string instruments. Try and find some others to balance the song out, and develop it a bit more. When I was listening to it, at some points it sounded like two different songs were going on at the same time. One with the lower instruments and one with the higher. Music is when all sounds blend together to make one voice. In this, you are lacking that 'one voice'
Also, there were some late entrances that threw me off. Double check them please
