{Jubilee}

The light at the end of the tunnel of so bright, so tempting. I walked straight into it.

I woke up, in a city. The ground was shimmering and transparent. It was filled with people like me, some walking others floating. A person that looked like they were part of a welcoming group walked over to me. "Hello, what's your name?" She asked.

"Jubilee."

"I know you're probably wondering where you are, you are in heaven. You are an angel now." She handed me a mirror. "You have been assigned this guy. You are his guardian angel. His name is Skyler." I looked into the mirror, and an image of a guy appeared.

She gave me a tour and an introduction to flying and helping out the living.

I could get used to this.

{Gage}

I half listened to the teacher in Religion. The other half of my brain was wondering about the existence of angels. Hark the herald angels sing, glory to the newborn king, but were there angels actually singing? I shrugged it off, and went back to doodling pictures of the teacher as a monster.

All I could remember was cold. I was shivering and slowly I opened my eyes. Little by little my eyes adjusted to the shimmer of the world around me.
I stood up slowly and glanced around. People were either walking or floating. " Hello, what is your name." A women's voice said. I turned towards the person, "Amber." I said softly, glancing at my feet.
"Well,Amber, welcome to heaven. I know you must have many questions and they will all be answered. Right now I must inform you that you are an angel and that you have been assigned a human." The woman said and handed me a mirror.
I looked into the mirror and was somewhat surprised to see a boy," Who is he?" I asked softly. The woman smiled, "That is Adam," she said," Now come along, there is much to see." She said before ushering me off. I gave a shy smile, this may not be too bad after all.

{Atlantica}

I can't remmeber much. I was falling somewhere and then I hit the ground. But now as I look around, I see that a glimmering world has taken form and a young woman softly asks my name.
I frown for a minute trying to remember. "I'm...Atlantica..."
"Welcome to Heaven, Atlantica." replied the woman. "It is our pleasure to have a new angel in our community. I can see that you have many questions but those are to be answered later. Firstly, All of us have a human that we guard untill they become an angel themselves. Here is yours."
She presented a mirror to me which showed me a picture of a boy sitting in a lesson doodling. I smile. Then the woman takes me to a "flying lesson".
She helps me to fly around a bit and I feel a sensation of freedom and joy. "I love this!" I cry landing before her. She clapps and insists on showing me my house and the city.


{Skyler}

I sit in Science. The class errupts into applause as the experiment shines but today, nothing could attract me. I rest my chin on my hands and stare out of the window and into the sky. It has been nearly a year now scince the shipwreck happened and still no sign of anyone. Now I beleive that there are angels and I hope that my family are there, among them.

I looked around and saw two other girls learning how to fly. 'Best to avoid talking to them until you know more.' I thought to myself. This was my usual approach to things. I followed the woman into the city, where she showed me house. She held out a key, which I took, and then walked away, probably to help out another new angel. I unlocked the door and stepped inside. I shut the door in amazement. It was a normal sized house, but it was the house of my dreams. Clean hardwood floors, a couch facing the T.V. and fireplace, a big kitchen, a beautiful dining room, it was amazing, not to mention my room.

I got up to my room, and it was all I had ever hoped for.

The walls were a light purple with aquamarine dots, I had a little couch that was purple and my own T.V., the bedspread was purple, and a clean white carpet. I smiled, and then walked downstairs and back outside.

{Gage}

The bell rang. I closed my book and stood up. "Gage, I need you to stay for a minute." The teacher said. My friend clapped me on the shoulder as he walked by, and exited the room. "Gage, it seems like you're having trouble paying attention, and you always look like you're wondering about something. Do you have any questions?" She asked.

"Nope."

"Ok then. You can head on home, see you tomorrow." She said.

I grabbed my backpack, put my sweater on, and walked home.

As the woman showed me around I stayed quiet. I knew I could look around better later once I got settled in. The woman stopped and briefly explained the flying training I would have to go through and I simply nodded.
After what felt like ages of walking we stopped at a house just inside the main city. The woman held out a set of keys and I took them with a small smile. The woman turned and walked away as I opened the door.
I hurried inside and closed the door with a sigh, happy to have a little space. I looked around and smiled; the walls were a pale blue and lavender striped, the bedspread and furniture were pale blue and there was a TV.
After a few moments I decided to head out to explore better, reminding myself I would need to take flying lessons later on.

{Atlantica}

Once the woman had shown me the city, she took me to a small house. Giving me the key, she left to help another new angel with her wings. I turned the key and stepped inside. "Wow..." I breathed. Inside was probably the cosiest house there was. The walls were painted as if they were an underwater realm. On the second floor, the bed was extra soft with cute sea shells on them and over the bed was an ark with real live fish inside them. The roof could open and I had a glass table with an aqua chair, a giant fridge but best of all...a walk in wardrobe!
I flung open the door to reveal a mixture of colours. From deep shades of violet, night blue and black to aqua, lilac and white. Dresses and shoes, scarves and hats, all of them were fitted for me.
//Who ever did this knew me very well\\ I thought smiling. Then I realised that I was wearing a plain white dress. Not a good look. So I walked into the wardrobe and picked a plain white tunic. I fastened it with a charmed chain and painted purple and aqua blue streaks in it.
Finally, I closed my house smiling for the first time in a long while. Spreading out my wings, I flew up and hovered in the air feeling the wind through my hair...

I quietly walked around, curious to see what was in the city. As I walked I saw many people were flying around and wondered when the next lesson was to learn.
I shrugged to myself and spotted a library and smiled, having not been to a library in what felt like ages. I walked into the library and was surprised, it was bigger than it had looked on the outside. There were rows upon rows of shelves.
Slowly I wandered down one of the rows, looking at all the different titles, looking for one that might interest me.

I looked down and realized I had forgotten to change. I quickly rushed back to my house and into my room. I walked into my closet and selected a pair of blue skinny jeans, black DC's, and a purple aeropostale t-shirt.

After changing, I headed back outside, and saw a sign outside a theatre. They were taking auditions for a pianist for the choir! They were open until 5:00 tonight. I excitedly rushed inside, surprised at how thee angel world was so much like the real world.

I sat down at the piano, and chose my most favourite Mozart piece. I played my heart out, stood up, bowed, and walked into the wings of the stage.

I rushed home, feeling sure of myself. I then realized that I had a lesson tomorrow on how to help the living. I wondered if others were going to be there.

{Gage}

I got home and rushed up to my room. I did my homework quickly, probably getting lots wrong. "Mom! Can I go over to a friends house tonight for a sleepover?!"

"Sure, whatever."

"Thanks!" I quickly picked up the phone and called my friend Xavier. I then packed and walked for about five minutes to his house.

I walked in, and we did what we always did. I got my stuff set up in his room, and then we played Xbox until dinner.

This was basically my life. Get criticized by teachers, do homework badly, get bad marks, my parents not caring, sleeping over at Xavier's...

I'm not saying I like it, it's just what I'm used to.

As I wandered the library I remembered my lesson for tomorrow and decided reading could wait. I slowly left the library with a smile, not minding it here.
After a little bit I made it home and walked inside, somewhat tired from the long day. It was a little overwhelming still, but I knew I would get use to things.

I stared out me bedroom window, bored. I was tempted to go out and walk around for awhile just to pass the time. I sighed softly and walked out of my room and out the door.
I sent my mom a text saying I was going to be out and put my phone back in my pocket. I wasn't sure where I was going but didn't really care, i just wanted to get out for awhile.
