{Intro}
A group of cats dwells on a river, their camp is in a cave. They seem like ordinary cats at first, although it soon becomes clear that there's no display of affection shared between anyone. Not between mates, not the brotherly affection between siblings and certainly not between a mother to her kits.
This strange group of cats call themselves The Pure a tribe who believes love to be weakness, and therefore not allowed.

{About the Pure}
They believe that love is a weakness, even between a mother to her kit. The ruler creates "matches" for each cat based on their personalities, likes, and dislikes.
If a cat is found to be poisoned by love, they have 1 moon to redeem themselves or be sentenced to execution.
The executioner is typically a she-cat unable to bear kits, or unwilling to bear kits. The executioner is cold and steeled to feeling emotion against killing. All executions are performed on a rock in the center of the river, where both the cat in love and the cat who they are in love with are put to death.

{The Pure's Code}
1. Ruler's word is law.
2. Love is a poison, no cat is to fall in love. If they do they are put to death unless able to redeem themselves.
3. Kits, elders, healers, and kit-mothers are to be fed before you eat.
4. The executioner should never bear kits and always be female.
5. Ruler and Step-up are typically mates, and are opposite gender.
6. Defend The Pure even at the cost of your life, nothing is to come before us.
7. The Pure rejects the life of the mongrels known as kittypets.
8. Kits born under the effects of love are to be treated normally but both parents are to be executed.

{Rules}
1. Have at least 2 cats of opposing genders.
2. Max of 1 HP per person.
3. Be literate.
4. Put your cats theme song in other.
5. No pair bonds with your own characters.
6. Max of 4 characters per person.
7. No birth scenes or mating scenes.
8. Keep violence low, even executions will be toned down.
9. Have fun.
10. Please post more than 1-liners. This is LITERATE.
11. Separate forms for each cat.
12. No images for cats description please.
13. Put your cats eye color in code.
14. If you are inactive for more than 1 week without prior notice to me, you shall be removed and your characters put up for adoption.
15. Sample RP is only needed for 1 form. But it is recommended for all.

{The season is leaf-bare, prey is scarce. It is around mid-day and very snowy. The river is covered in ice and frozen.}

Viper stretched from her spot in the back of the camp. Her bi-colored eyes flashed as she stood up and walked out of the camp.

Eilrak stepped gingerly onto the ice of the river. He looked over his shoulder at the other Pures on the bank of the river. He took another step and slid straight to the other side. The other cats were staring at him like he was crazy. Eilrak started going back to the cave.

{Robinwing}

I woke up from the nap I been taking, trying to shelter from the cold. I stood up and stretched, and walked out into the main cave.

I walked around for a bit, trying to warm myself up. It was cold outside, but this cave only offered warmth toward the back. It was good though, because we were sheltered from the wind, and mice wandered in here to shelter from the cold. I was just glad we didn't live outside.

{Iceheart}

I wandered around camp, looking for something to do, keeping watch to see if anyone needed help with anything.

Having white fur in the winter is good and bad. You can hide better when stalking prey, but it reflects heat, therefore making you colder than the other cats.

Longshadow stretched and inhaled the brisk icy air. He yawned and then sat down with his tail wrapped around his paws, which felt like they were going to fall off. The dark brown tom's bright green eyes wandered around the camp, looking for something to do.

Birch continued to chase the hare, each stride eating away at her endurance. She huffed and puffed, trying to catch up with the small animal. The she-cat was actually pretty surprised to find a hare despite the fact it was leaf-bare. Birch was hungry, and her hunger kept pushing her on. Soon after chasing the hare however, she soon smelt the scents of The Pure territory drawing closer. She stopped. She was fairly close to their territory now, and the hare continued to run. Birch decided to turn back. Better to keep away from The Pure.

Fall gazed at the icy river, thinking of when it was summer. She shook her head as snow dripped onto her nose and sneezed, awaking the birds who flew away calling out curses to Fall. She shrugged it off solemnly. 'Only birds,' She thought. 'Only birdies.'

The came out and were gleaming in the sunshine as if they were ice crystals; hanging from the sky. She tried to grab one but here hand went through. The birds flew away and she couldn't believe what she saw.

{Randy}
My nose twitched as I searched for food. He followed the scent of a blackbird to a row of bushes. Randy peeked through and saw the bird pecking at the ground, looking for worms probably.

Dropping into a hunter`s crouch, he tip-toed toward it. It looked up when he was a mouse-length away, and he pounced. Sinking his claws into its neck, it died instantly.

Randy carried his prey back to the Twolegplace hoping to share it with Crystal.

{Crystal}
I curled up by the firepit, purring. She yawned lazily and turned over in her nest. /I`m glad I`m not outside in the cold!/

Her Twolegs were lying around, watching the lightbox. Crystal could never find out for the life of her why they stared at it so much!

She twitched her ear as she heard a tap at the door, and turned to see her brother with a blackbird in his jaws.

Viper jumped from the ice filled river bank onto her rock, taking up a post of watching the land around. She didn't have to do this, but it gave her a peace of mind she didn't achieve anywhere else.

Lynx stirred in her nest and headed out in the chilly air outside. She fluffed her fur up against the cold, although it was hardly necessary, and looked around for someone to hunt with.

Attentive grimaced. This was the third injury today, and it was only mid-day!
"What is happening to all of these cats?" she muttered to herself. She looked at the falling snow.
"Maybe they are slipping on the ice and snow?"

Stalactite looked around. There was no-one in sight. She sighed. Then Stalactite heard a rustle from the bushes, and spotted a white snow rabbit looking at her. She bounded after it, determined to catch it to show her skill to the other Pures.

Longshadow hadn't noticed before that the river was frozen and he decided to go hunt, maybe that would satisfy his boredom. The tom stood up and padded out of the cave and onto the river, slowing sliding across it making sure not to fall. He then continued to pad away, sniffing the air occasionally for scents of prey, or intruders. After a while, he caught the scent of another cat that had wandered nearby to their border, but turned back. Longshadow shrugged, at least they didn't intrude. But, the scent smelt familiar to him.

Birch ran as far away as she could from the border of The Pure. She shivered and continued to sniff for other scents of prey. A tinge of squirrel hit her. She then noticed the squirrel collecting leftover acorns that were still fresh from Leaf-Fall. Birch got into the hunter's crouch, her stomach grumbling for prey. She inched forward, slowing taking small pawsteps toward it. When she was close enough, she lunged and bit the squirrel on it's spine. The she-cat then ate it, satisfying her hunger.

Lynx left the camp her nose twitching. The she-cat quickly caught sight of a small bird, and dropped into a hunting crouch, sneaking forwards to catch it.
But her large paws crunched in the thick snow, and the bird took flight.
Snarling Lynx tried to catch it, but missed, landing on a patch of ice. Her claws dug in, and she spun off slamming into Longshadow.

{Robinwing}

I was bored, and decided to go hunting. I decided to ask Iceheart if he wanted to come, because he was apparently bored too, and the only cat I would enjoy hunting with. "You wanna come hunting?" I asked, walking over to him.

{Iceheart}

I stood up as Robinwing came over. "Sure." I said. With that, we walked out of camp.

We split up, Robinwing going to the left, me to the right. I got scent of a squirrel. I followed it to a hole at teh bottom of a tree. It was sitting there, stuffing nuts in its mouth. I quickly punced on it and killed it.

We succesfully brought a squirrel and a mosue back to camp.

Eilrak whimpered as he limped towards Attentive, the Healer. He had gotten a deep cut in his paw from "ice- skating" on the frozen river. He decided that he wasn't going to try it again. It was too risky.

Stalactite gleefully brought the white rabbit back to camp, nodding at Longshadow, as she always does to other cats, to show that she respects them. She dumped the rabbit on a rock and lay in the shade of a tree.

Attentive looked at Eilrak's cut.
"What were you thinking, young kit?" she sighed. Eilrak didn't say anything. After Attentive had put some herbs on the sore, she told him to go and rest it, and to not do anything silly. She sat down and rested her head on her paws.

{Crystal}
I ran over to the door, meowing loudly. One of my owners walked over, and unlocked it. She padded out, and licked her brother on the nose.

"It's so good to see you!" Crystal purred, sniffing at the blackbird. " Is that for me?"

{Randy}
"Yes, we can share it." I answered, licking her over the ear in greeting. "I'm sorry, I couldn't come yesterday; I was studying The Pure."

Crystal sighed, taking a bite of the blackbird. "I can't imagine what you would want with those savage cats!"

Randy shrugged. "Some of them seem normal..." He muttered, chewing one of the blackbird's feathery wings.

His sister rolled her eyes. "NONE of them are kind, you know that!"

They finished their meal in silence, each with their own private thoughts. Randy stretched, and leaped up onto the fence.

"Bye, Crystal!" he meowed. His sister half-heartedly waved her tail goodbye, and disappeared into her nest.

Randy jumped off the fence and headed toward The Pure's territory.

Viper left her spot on the rock and wandered near the border, her nose twitching when she caught a tom's scent. She looked up to see a black tom with a scar crossing his face heading to the Pure territory.
"What are you doing?" She called out to him tipping her head to the side.

Eilrak wandered around in the snow aimlessly. He didn't have much to do because of his sore foot. He sat down on a log and stared art his paw. It was red and swollen. He meowed with pain. Then he saw Stalactite, a really intimidating cat start to walk up to him...

Stalactite
Stalactite lazily sauntered over to Eilrak, who was sitting on a log.
"So..." she purred. "Why aren't you doing anything on this fine winter day?"
"I-I hurt my-my paw." whimpered Eilrak.
"Mmmmm.... And how did you do that?" replied Stalactite.
"I-I_I slipped?" said Eilrak, starting to walk away backwards.
"Aaaaah, Is that so?" purred Stalactite.
"YES!!!" screeched Eilrak, and he shot off, scared out of his wits by this weird and uncomfortable conversation.
