Eggs appear randomly at the Thief Shop. I won't try to steal one with a low price, as I figure it won't hatch. 😊

While the majority of my creatures have come from the more expensive eggs, that's mainly because that's what is normally in the shop when I go. In saying that, I've gotten several in the 90k to 130k range, and I'm sure even cheaper. There is also someone (anarchy) who half way down on page 181 nabbed one for under 30k.

But it is random and I see it as a gamble.

Ohhhhh!!!! Stats. I love stats. So I did some digging and some counting of my own. And yes, it feels good to be done. Until a new creature comes out.

The Requin was released 14/09/2023. So it took me just over a year to find him. I started going through this board and ....well.. got a little sad (and answered the question of "Where did my ec go?"). So combined with me hand writing my info out, I limited myself to the figures of my Requin and the previous 19 other creatures I'd found. So according to posts I've made here...

Between 17/06/2024 and 02/10/2024 (or 107 days, or 15ish weeks):

A lot of your numbers seem similar to mine, but I still grab the cheap eggs as I have had success with them in the past. It seems rarer, but it's happened.

I've always kept a tally of what I spend at the Thief Shop on a profile, normally Weft my Wicculin as she's my featured pet so easy to get to the profile of. I would then transfer it over to the creature when I was successful, but would lose that data when I traded the pet away. When I realized that, I started just transferring it here for prosperity.

However doing that count for the last 3 1/2 months was an eye opener. To see the total of what I have gambled away, in one spot, was actually a little scary. Before it was a slightly more abstract concept of 500k here, 400k there, adding up to a couple of million spent for a successful creature. But it was spread out, and not obvious. I really don't want to know the true total of what the hunt for a Requin actually cost me.
