I'm so confused 0_0 How are you people even seeing the eggs.

The only message I ever get is:
"No eggs here, kid. Maybe I'll have some later."

Is it suppose to restock like the store or something?

Yes. On very rare occasions there will be some eggs. It's just like the other shops. Whenever there is one, it's a picture of a black egg with a question mark on it. Although in the TS there's no need to enter a security code when buying an egg.

One last question, it restocked by time or randomly? Also, is it possible for someone else to take the egg before you do?

I think it's restocked at random times, although I have seen eggs being sold around this time a lot, some empty, others real.

And yes, it is very much possible for someone to take the egg before you, which is why you must be quick if you see one.

The egg cracks and appears to hatch... but a slimy, non-living object is located within. It's not a real creature but some weird inanimate object! You feel tricked by the shopkeeper and yell saying, "These eggs are supposed to contain real creatures and not stuffed with random items!"

You consider coming back in the future to see if another egg hatches successfully but you have your doubts about this place.

The egg "hatches," only to discover it was a plastic egg covered in black ink. It wasn't a real egg! The shopkeeper doesn't offer an apology after you get really upset with him.

The egg opens. But there's not a creature inside. You ask the shopkeeper what could've happened but he doesn't answer your question.

You threaten the shopkeeper and say, "If you don't refund me for this scam, I'll turn you into the Town Hall!" The shopkeeper becomes very apologetic and fearful but only returns 172,931 EC. You decide it's enough to keep you quiet... for now.

Aaah, first Thief Shop egg I've seen and it eats up a chunk of my savings. At least I got some of it back. :')

You know that the shopkeeper doesn't give refunds after purchase but you demand your Egg Coins back. The shopkeeper doesn't agree to a full refund but gives you 218,312 EC back.

I just looked into the thief shop and to my surprise, there was something there for 120k... I literally screamed cuz I didn't expect that... But someone else got it before me. It was empty though.

I just saw one that was 495,864 EC. I didn't want to risk it.
I tried buying four or five times before. Only one was successful (a Cachnid for 104k). The price range that I'm willing to accept is between 20k and about 100k EC. I've seen another that was around 500k. I skipped that one, too.
Does anyone know the chances of a successful adoption (as in you bought the egg and got to keep it instead of it dying or being fake)?

It's just my featured with a couple extra zeros. But that page shows newest creatures being stolen and if it has a thief shop egg there, then one was recently stolen.

And to answer your question, the chances are entirely random. I usually wait for people to say their eggs were fake about 5-8 times before trying for one since it's more likely to be real. But I've bought 3 and two were real (a arkep and a foxfly, both about 450k a piece)

Thanks for the info. I had no idea that you could check like that. So there is no way to predict if an egg will be real or not... That sucks.

Although it's true you can't predict whether an egg is real or not, you have more chances of getting a real one if the price is around 500k EC. I have some experience with this shop and all of my successful eggs cost around that price. Only one cost about 100k EC. I've never gotten a real one for under 100k EC, so I don't think you should bother buying those 20k EC eggs.
