This is the Heart Attack Survivors Club, or #HASC for short. If you have survived a heart attack, this is the place where you can talk to other survivors about it!

Is someone currently suffering through an illness or surgery? Has someone you loved passed away recently? Want to hope that all the starving people in this world become not so hungry? I take prayer requests! Just PM me!

My name is Darby, A.K.A. DDGirl22, and my father is a heart attack survivor.

On a night when I was fast asleep in my bed, my mother came rushing into my room to get me. I was startled, and kept asking questions such as why she woke me up at such a late hour. Soon, we arrived to the hospital. That was the moment when my mother told me everything. With tears in my eyes, I walked into the emergency room where my father laid in an hospital bed, barely moving. I hugged him, and told him softly, "I love you, daddy! Please don't die!"

I was only 7 years old. It was so hard for me to believe that my dad might not make it.

The doctors rushed my dad in an ambulance to a different hospital where he could get treatment. We had to all sleep in the hospital that night. But I didn't. All I could think of was, 'is my dad going to live or die?' The next day, my aunt came and took us to her house while my mother stayed at the hospital with my father. A whole week passed, and my father was gradually healing.

He was finally released from the hospital. From that day on, my family and I have always been very, very careful of our health.
