I was wondering how you get an egg from the thief shop I know there is already a topic but I don't have time to read all the post there so if anyone can tell me if it's a time thing or it's just luck that would be helpful

It's really just luck and timing. As of now, there's no confirmed pattern to its restocking or anything. You just have to refresh and hope for the best.
