Snowkit's eyes rounded as she heard that Frostfang would be going to the Moonstone and somebody needed to accompany her. "Can I please go?" Snowkit begged. "I'll be good," she added, puffing out her chest.

She chuckled at the little kittens viger. "I'm sorry little one, but you're still just a kit. Maybe is you were a little older."

Snowkit growled, "I can defeat any cat that comes our way!"

With that, she leaped onto her hind legs and started swiping at the air with her fore paws. Snowkit sighed, she wanted to be an apprentice already, but Silverkit, her sister, always told her to be more patient. Why was her sister sometimes like a queen? Kits were supposed to be eager and mischievous, not patient and good!

She smiled. " It's okay Snowkit. You and your sister become apprentinces in one more moon, when you are six moons."

Snowkit sighed loudly and purposely, "A whole moon! You don't know if I'll become sick or old and fragile by then! I might even become as ill-tempered as the elders!" Snowkit didn't want to wait a whole moon to become an apprentice. Anything can happen in a moon! Hmph! 'I'll just wait like Silverkit, I guess' she thought.

"We'll then don't get sick." she protested. "That's the best advice i can give you." she chuckled.

Snowkit let out a deep sigh, well, there was no way getting around Ruststar! No protesting, nothing! "Fine!" Snowkit mewed. "I will become old and..."
Seeing Ruststar's glare, she trailed off and quickly meowed, "I'll wait!" Then, she bounded to where Silverkit was watching.
"You could have got in trouble!" Silverkit protested.
"Yeah, I know. But I didn't!" Snowkit retorted. Silverkit just glared at her, then, Snowkit pounced on her tail. The tension was too much! And just like that, they started a play-fight, again.

Rust

She sighed. Kits these days! She began to ponder her question. Who would go with Frostfang? Maybe some apprentinces. Or warriors? She sighed. Her head hurt. She would deside this in the mourning.

{Silverkit}
Silverkit was exhausted after playing around with Snowkit, so she closed her eyes and tried to fall asleep. She woke up in a gloomy forest. She scented mice and crouched down in a hunter's crouch. Then, she leaped, but the mouse was gone. She heard flapping above her head and looked up. There was a huge hawk and it swept down, talons wide open, aiming for Silverkit. She tried to escape, but her tail got caught by a twig.
Silverkit gasped, taking in huge gulps of breath. She was still inside the nursery, and it wasn't even a ray of sunshine yet.
