Auction is screwed up!

Look here, bid increment is 1,000 someone just bid 500000 from 107000. I lost an auction earlier I was about to bid 40000 with a few seconds remaining and someone bid 50000 from 30000 with a bid increment posted of 10000. Unless Im miss understanding this I know previously I tried bidding higher and it rejected it.

Bid increments are the least amount of EC you can offer.. People are allowed to offer more than the increment price.

Perhaps, when you bidded higher, you entered the number wrong or the number was less than the increment...?

Hmm perhaps I hadn't realized the bid increments were all different the first one I saw was 10000 so I though all were that way but Im seeing some have bid increments of 50000 or higher
