The Fairy Tail Guild Roleplay

Tawny Brave:

The guild hall loomed over me. The burning sun scorched my soar back and a cool breeze sent my tawny curls of hair flying about. The bruises and scars on my body were now covered with a burnt cloak of black silk, the bottom half of my beaten face was covered by a cloth and the top was covered by a hat which hid most of my hair. A fringe of tawny locks fell across my eye concealing the damage. Kuo sat on the floor beside me staring up at the tall guild.

"This is it." I said quietly. My voice shook and my breathing was jagged from the fight. Kuo nodded and I put my hand on the door. Taking a breath, I pulled the handle. The heavy door opened with a loud screech but it was barely noticed by the riot that was inside. Magic was hurling in all directions, swords were flying and people were laughing. I bent my head to avoid eye contact and walked forward, Kuo by my side.

As I passed each person, the commotion stopped and everyone stared. I sideways looked first left, then right whilst continuing to walk. One by one, people dropped their weapons or hands and stared at me as I approached the bar at the end.

A tall lady met me there, a smile playing on her beautiful face and her blue eyes sparkling with pleasure. She wore a long purple dress which had ruffles and hung down to the feet. Her white hair was held back into a side ponytail held by a beautiful white flower clip.

"Hello there!" she said grinning. "Are you here to see Master Makarov?"

"No." I said shortly. "I would like to join your guild, ma'am."

She stared at me for a while and I could see her eyes traveling from my cloaked self to my bruised appearance. "Okay, only I need to ask you a few questions first."

I gulped, my face concealed but I wondered what questions she would need to ask me. "Yes, of course."

"Firstly, what is your name?" she asked. People were gathering around me staring and whispering. Some held back, other came closer. "We might want to know a bit about you before accepting you to our guild." she explained.

Kuo smiled and flew up a bit to rest on my shoulder. "I go by the name Tawny Brave. I assure you I am not from a dark guild if that is what you are wondering."

The lady smiled and asked another question. "May we see your face? We might want to know our guild member by their appearance."

I hesitated and my breathing came out jagged. My heart was beating real fast and I found it hard to concentrate. I picked up a trembling hand and removed my cloak to reveal my short sleeved white top and red skirt with my fire mark. My knee-high boots were shining in the sunlight and the lady gestured to my face as if telling my to remove the masks. I lifted off my hat to reveal a wave of tawny curls but didn't push my fringe aside. I let the cloth concealing my bleeding lip go too.

An awkward silence spread over the wizards as I stood there, panting, bleeding from various cuts and bruised from head to toe. A tear dropped from my undamaged eye and fell down my cheek. Kuo snuggled closer to me as the members of Fairy Tail stared. My energy was getting low, and I could barely stand now.

The lady smiled and said, "Now those are rough bruises you have there. Okay now that's settled, would you like to come through with me? I'll take you to our medical room where our nurse Wendy will heal you up."

I nodded shortly and gathered my clothes up from the floor. Following her, Kuo flew above me and towards the door. I was starting to think that maybe, just maybe Fairy Tail might be good enough for me to stay.

After re-adjusting my cloak, I walked back to the main hall where the lady who called herself Jane gave me a Fairy Tail stamp in an elite golden color. I payed a few jewels for it but I didn't mind. Kuo was happily skipping as I stepped back to the hall. Wendy had given me special treatment and even fixed my eye.

I sat alone, away from everyone else where I grabbed a piece of cake and ate it in silence. I had a feeling that people might try to interfere and I was right.



Flame:

Running a hand through my ginger spikes, I looked over to the knew comer. She seemed lonely and hurt in a way. I grinned at Stripe who was staring intently at the cat beside the girl. I noticed how she kept darting her eyes over to the window. Her tawny hair was sitting in curls around her pale face and her eyes were a sad green color.

I walked over to her and stood beside her. She tensed up a little and didn't look over. "Hey there!" I said smiling. "I'm Flame the Dragon Slayer!"

She didn't reply. Instead, she finished her cake and started stroking her cat. I raised an eyebrow before continuing. "You're Tawny? Nice to meet ya!"

She nodded but said nothing again. I sat down in front of her feeling a little confused. "Um...hey!"

This time she didn't ignore me. She looked straight at me with a questioning look to her. "Why are you so quiet? Come on tell me something about yourself. Where are you from? Where's your family? What brought you here?"

She closed her eyes, a pained look flashed across her face before she rose from her seat, took her plate and started walking away. She set the plate down on the counter with a clatter and walked out of the main hall without another word.

"What's her problem?" asked Stripe. "And I was really wanting to meet that cat too."

"Hmm..." something didn't seem right. "C'm on."



Tawny Brave:

I walked outside and turned right hoping to escape Flame and his cat. Kuo bounced beside me. I climbed up a hill and sat down beside a tree. The magnolia blossoms were a beautiful pink shade which calmed me. Someone was coming up the hill. I looked over only to see messy orange hair, black trousers and black jacket boy walking towards me, a stubborn expression on his face and a certain annoyed look about him.

"Hey, you can't just go off on your own!" he raised his voice. "I wasn't done talking to ya. What's your problem?!"

"You...you wouldn't understand." I said. Flame stopped and sat down across from me accompanied by his cat. "I don't know."

"Huh?" Both him and the cat raised their eyebrow at me, questioning.

"I don't know where I came from; I have no memories from when I was a child and I certainly don't know where my family is. If you truly understand, you'd leave me alone." I said quietly. Bending my head down, I stared at my lap.

"Ain't gonna happen." he said. "There's gotta be some way of-"

"If she knew, she wouldn't be in this mess." said Kuo crossly. "Why do you think she joined your guild? She wan't to become a better fighter and find people who can help her remember!"

"What kind of magic do you posses?" he asked me.

I looked up and raised my hand. I clenched my fist. He was really annoying me now. "Wanna see?"

"Huh? You're gonna fight me?" he asked a little appalled.

I shrugged. "Why not? I'll give it my best and see what the Fairy Tail wizards are like."

"You're on." he said. A strange edge appeared in his eye as he smiled and rose.

"Bad move girl." said Stripe. "Flame isn't one to hold back."

I eyed him skeptically. He stood there and raised his fist. A bright red flame appeared, consuming his whole hand. //So he uses Fire Magic? Oh well.\\ I thought.

I raised my own hand and even without contracting a muscle, I summoned my power into a controlled golden flame which burnt with a warm feeling. I hadn't used my magic energy since I fought the bandits on my way here.

I laughed at the look in Flame's eye. I ran towards him and stroke a punch but he swerved around it and blocked my fist. As I was caught off guard, he pushed me backwards. Panting, I skidded whilst grabbing the ground to steady myself.

"You're not bad." I said conjuring more flames.

"Hah! You haven't seen nothing yet." He replied. "Fire Dragon...ROAR!"

The wind picked up and a long trail of red flames erupted from him towards me. I braced myself whilst pushing Kuo out from where I was standing. Smoke billowed up and I couldn't see Flame.

When the clouds of dust cleared, Flame gawked at me. I smiled and said, "Okay then. If that's how it is, take this!"

I closed my eyes and concentrated on my magic energy. Something deep inside me awoke, a magic sensation rushed through my body, filling it to the brim with suspense and mystery. I stood my ground and controlled my magic energy all into one attack. When I opened my eyes, golden flames where dancing around me like they do at a campfire. Holding my arms in front of me, all of my flames surged into one big ball of gold.

"Secret Fire Lion Heart Technique!" I yelled as I thrust the flames towards Flame. He was sent backwards and was thrown onto the ground. I smiled, walked over to him and knelt down. "That was fun. Maybe you'll teach me some of those moves?"

"Um..."

"Anyway..." I picked up my cloak and threw it over my shoulders before waving backwards at Flame and walking down the hill.

"Are you sure he'll be safe, lady?" asked Kuo looking back.

"Yup." I replied. "That wasn't even my full technique."

"Huh?!" a shocked and puzzled expression crossed Kuo's face as she stared at me, trying to figure out what I said.

"Oh, didn't I tell you?" I asked her. Still confused, she shook her cute head and blinked at me through little green eyes. "I've mastered controlling the effect of my attacks for that specific spell. I fired a minor spell at him so he'll be fine."

We arrived back at the guild hall where I sat at a free table. Jane served me a helping of chocolate cake when the door opened and a slightly burnt Flame entered.

"Whoa-!"
"What happened to you?!"
"Who did this?"
"Flame, you naughty guy!"
"Who was it this time pal?"

Flame pointed a finger at me. I adjusted my mask and ate my cake in silence.

"SHE took down FLAME?!"
"But he's the strongest one here!"
"Apart from the Master."
"Could she be-?!"

I closed my eyes and got up, pushing my chair back with a clatter. Everyone stopped bickering and stared at one another. "I apologize." I said.

"Accepted"

"Huh?" I stared up at him. He was smiling but I was a little confused.

"I accept the apology and I'll train you." he said scratching his head.

"You...you mean it?" I asked.

"Yeah. We're both of the same magic and you have immense skills! It'll be fun. Do you wanna join my team?" He replied.

"T-team?"

"Everyone in the guild divides into teams and so far it's only me and Stripe. We could use you on our team." he explained.

I thought this through and realized that I had better fit into a team or else I wouldn't stand a chance on jobs. I was about to accept when a voice sounded from the crowd behind me.

A boy with light blue hair falling messily around his pale face. His eyes were blue like the sky and he was staring straight at us with a smile mixed with a frown. He was leaning against a post holding up the second floor.

"As if she would join your group Flame." he said. Pushing himself off of the post, he walked slowly towards us, his hands in his pockets. "Tawny Brave, why don't you join my group?"

"You have a group now, Icy Boy?" retorted Flame with anger in his voice. "That's a surprise. I mean, who would want to tag along with a cold-heartened fool like you?"

"How sad. At least I have people on my team whereas you - you only have your cat and you go around asking random people." replied the new guy.

Now he had reached us, he stopped beside me and looked directly at me. I heard stumbles and gasps of breath from people in the crowd. Two girls stumbled forward and stood panting like they had been running.

The first one looked younger. Her sea blue hair was soft and it hung down her backs like a river. Her very light blue eyes were worried and her clothes were damaged. Her white dress was torn and jagged, her sleeves were ripped in places and her knee-high boots were dirty with soil and dust.

The second one was older and had very dark blue hair which hang in jagged locks framing her pale face. Her blue-green eyes were happier and smiled like the sea on a sunny day. She wore a short sleeved white top and a blue miniskirt which was hiding under her long cloak.

"Teki, thank goodness you made it back, you were-!" began the first one. Her blue eyes narrowed and her voice became deadly and mean. "Who's she?"

"This is the newest member of Fairy Tail, Tawny Brave. I want her on our team just like Flame." replied Teki. Turning back to me he introduced the girls. Pointing to the girl with long light blue hair he said, "This is Umi Waters. And this is Mizu Ripple." he pointed to the other girl.

"Please to meet you?" I said uncertainly. Flame certainly didn't seem too pleased about this.

"Oh, Flame!" cried Umi jumping over to hug him. "I've missed you so much! How have you been?!"

"Oi! Lemme go!" yelled Flame as Umi hugged him tighter. I giggled but the girl shot me a strange glance. Mizu didn't seem too happy that I was there either.

When Umi finally released Flame, he walked up to me and asked again, "So do you want to be in my team?"

"Or mine?" asked Teki. I looked around myself. The other guild members had settled down now and weren't paying attention anymore. Umi was staring at Flame, a desired look in her eyes. Mizu had crossed her arms and was looking at Teki apprehensively and hurt. Teki though, was staring at me and so was Flame, a desired look shared on their faces.

"I think..." I began shortly. Taking a breath I carried on. "I think I'll refrain from choosing for now. I'm sure I can handle things by myself. After all, coming to this guild I hoped to test my strength. Now if you'll excuse me.."

I signaled to Kuo to follow me, reached into my pockets, took out and adjusted my mask and hat before walking out of the guild hall leaving Teki and Flame to start an argument only too plainly about my being in their team. I signed exasperatedly. Smiling, I picked up the pace and headed for my new house in which I would be staying for the rest of my life in Fairy Tail.

(Pinging so that you know I'm here XD)

Veton slipped into the Guild hall largely unnoticed because of the commotion. Ember padded silently at her side. Her thick fur was ruffled, and when Veton laid a hand on her head a small cloud of dust flew upwards. Veton's clothes were a little dirty as well and her normally sleek black hair was tussled and wind-blown.

She looked around awkwardly. She had only been in the Guild for a few days and didn't know anyone very well. Nobody had approached her about joining a team, which worried her. She would have thought that since she was a Dragon Slayer the other members would have been more eager to have her on one of their teams, but they seemed to be hesitant to approach her. Was it because she seemed unapproachable, or because of Ember?

She didn't mind much; she was used to being on her own. She was a little lonely, however, and wished that soon she would be able to make friends. She shifted Raiha on her back and sat down at one of the outer tables to watch the commotion from a distance.

Tawny Brave:

After stopping in to my house, sorting out all of my clothes and furniture, I headed back to the guild, still heavily masked. I didn't want anyone here to see me yet and I certainly didn't want to be found by anyone unnecessary. As I approached the Guild, Kuo hissed and I could see that a large fight was involved again. I sighed deeply and noticed a lonely girl sitting at a table away from everyone.

Her hair was a bit ruffled and was black with blonde streaks in it. Her skin was quite fair and she wore dark clothes. By her side, a wolf sat but it seemed harmless. Taking a breath, I walked towards the girl apprehensively. I noticed that Flame and Teki were close by, having their own argument. I edged further away from them hoping not to be noticed.

Coming to a stop by her table, I lowered my mask down a little and said as calmly as possible, "Um...hello. I'm a new member of the Guild. My name's Tawny Brave."

Kuo sat beside the wolf and blinked through her little green eyes up at the tall figure of the slightly shaken wolf. I smiled, waiting for a reply.

Veton looked up, startled. She hadn't noticed the girl walk up to the table. She had wavy golden-brown hair and green eyes,but the rest if her face was masked. She looked as though she had had a rough time lately, and she had a large black and white cat with her that had sat down next to Ember. Ember sniffed in the cat's direction with a curious gleam in her eyes.

Veton felt a wave of relief. She had thought that she was the only new member, but it looked like someone else had joined while she had been away. It was nice to finally see someone that hadn't already been in the Guild for some time.

Veton reached out a hand politely. "Hi, my name's Veton. I'm new here too; it's nice to meet you!" She gave the girl her best smile. Ember huffed and nudged Veton's outstretched hand. She hated to be left out. Veton rolled her eyes and gave the wolf a reassuring pat."Oh, sorry, I almost forgot. This is Ember."

Tawny Brave:

I smiled at Veton and her wolf. I shook her hand back and replied, "It's nice to see I'm not the only new comer around here. Ember seems friendly."

Kuo extended two wings and flew up to my shoulder. "This is Kuo." I said stroking her soft fur. Kuo made a small purring sound before nudging my cheek.

"Hey, Tawny! You're back!" yelled a familiar voice from behind. I turned around to see Flame and Teki standing, both panting and a little exhausted.

"Yes, I only needed time to recover a little and think things through." I replied. "What's going on here?"

"Oh...it's nothing." Teki and Flame both said before giving each other an evil stare.

"I can kind of tell when you put it that way..." I said. They were obviously still riled up about what happened in the morning. "Anyway, this is Veton." I introduced the girl.

Flame and Teki smiled at her before Mizu and Umi showed up. I waved at them but they both gave a stubborn 'hmph' and turned away. I strugged. Oh well.

"So what team are you joining? And Veton which team would you like to join?" asked Teki. Mizu narrowed her eyes at him.

"Teki, we are fine as it is. Leave them to that Flame and forget about them." said Mizu.

Umi disagreed by retorting, "Hey, don't let Flame have them! The more the merrier. And besides, only I have my heart set on him!"

I rolled my eyes at both of them. Girls. "Hey um...how about we join teams?" I suggested with an air to calm everyone.

"Join...teams?" all four echoed together.

"Well yes." said Kuo sweetly. She purred on whilst smiling. "Tawny wants to join your teams and include Veton in it. And Ember too!"

I nodded agreeing with Kuo and smiling at all of the people waiting fro responses.

"I dunno..." began Mizu.
"I could finally be with my darling Flame!" cried Umi and I frowned a little.
"As I'd work with that hot head!" said Teki.
"Ha! I was gonna say the same thing about you Ice Boy." replied Flame.

I sighed and looked at Veton. "What about you? Your decision might help here."

Veton was a little surprised. In a matter of minutes she had gone from knowing nobody to suddenly having a crowd of people around the table. Tawny seemed like a nice person, but the other few seemed to be in some kind of argument.

She thoughtfully stroked Ember's thick fur while the wolf glanced warily at the newcomers. She would rather not have to make such a big decision, but it was clear that this group wasn't going to come to their own agreement.

"I think that it's a great idea," She said after a few seconds. "It'd be better to combine all our strengths. Umi's right; the bigger the team, the more power we have to counteract our individual weaknesses. And the greater the chance of success."

She shrugged Raiha off of her back and laid it across her lap so that she could lean back into her chair comfortably. She sent a glance in Teki and Flame's direction. "I dunno what you two have against each other, but you should try to work it out. Arguments only serve to weaken the team."

Tawny Brave:

I smiled encouragingly at Veton. "So it's agreed then. We all combine teams and join forces. Veton's right - we'll only become stronger if we work together."

Umi bounced up and down, a smile stretching across her face. Mizu sighed heavily and sat down at the table as if it was the end of the world. Flame and Teki stopped bickering but eyed each other wearily. I sighed and rolled my eyes at Veton hoping she would get my point.

"Fine then. Now that's settled, can we go celebrate? We should have a party!" cried Umi. I marvelled at her enthusiasm and decided that it was a good idea.

Flame grinned at his cat Stripe and headed out, Teki right beside him. Umi beckoned to us and skipped towards them, a cheerful spring in her step and an extremely happy expression upon her face. Mizu got up and followed Teki, grabbing his arm and blushing a little. I giggled. It was so obvious that she liked him, it was unreal!

I got up too, pushing my chair back with a clatter. I took off the mask that was still concealing half of my face off but left my cape. Outside the window, the sun was setting, giving the sky a creamy shade of peach with pink and yellow shades sprinkled over the canopy hanging over earth.

"Come on Veton, Ember!" I laughed whilst picking up Kuo and heading towards my new team with the first smile I had since I had got here.

Veton shouldered Raiha and stood up. She couldn't help but feel a shiver of excitement at having finally joined a team. Ember seemed to sense it and followed the others eagerly with Veton right behind her.

As she passed the window she marveled at the sunset outside. She hadn't really had time lately to appreciate a good view. After a couple of seconds she turned away and hurried to catch up with the others. She walked beside Tawny while Ember looked curiously up at Kuo.

"If you don't mind me asking, what made you decide to join Fairy Tail?" Veton asked curiously.

"Oh...well..." I looked at Kuo for help but she was happily smiling and not paying any attention to me whatsoever. Instead, she was bouncing beside Ember and talking to her in her other language, the one I don't understand. "I joined Fairy Tail because..."

I searched for answers. Truth was, I couldn't remember. I only remembered a young and beautiful woman bearing a fairy tail mark crying as she looked down at me and turned into petals, blowing away into the wind.

The image brought tears into my eyes and I couldn't suppress a sob coming from me. I continued as if nothing had happened and hoped that Veton wouldn't press the matter. "I came here because of something that inspired me long ago. What about you?"

Veton could tell that Tawny was being evasive and didn't want to talk about it, so she didn't press. She looked over to where Ember and Kuo were happily getting along.

"Me and Ember just didn't really want to be alone anymore," she explained. "We joined the first guild we came across, and it just happened to be Fairy Tail." She turned and gave Tawny an encouraging smile. "I'm fine not knowing what brought you here. The important thing is that we're all here now, and we're gonna make a great team!"

I nodded and smiled. Veton was really nice and I gathered that maybe the future wasn't as I had pictured it. We finally managed to get to the place which we were all heading and I stopped, marveling at the grand building. It was a restaurant with normal everyday magicians drinking and eating happily.

I grinned as Flame ordered a table for six plus the animals got their own little area!

Veton sat down next to Tawny and looked around at the others in their group. She supposed she should get to know everyone else as well if they were going to work together. She shrugged Raiha off of her back and leaned it against the edge of the table next to her.

"So... I think we should all get to know each other," she said as everyone got settled.

"So... I think we should all get to know each other," said Veton.

I smiled and nodded as she sat beside me. I decided to start off. "Well, my name is Tawny as you know...hmm...I have my pet exceed Kuo...and well I don't have much else to talk about."

I knew it was short but I really didn't. I couldn't remember what happened in the past so I have no clue how to say things like 'I like tea' or 'I love water' because I don't know. I can't remember.


Flame:

After Tawny spoke, she was silent and thoughtful so I spoke up. "I'm Flame. I'm quite loud. I don't like Icy Boy over there and I can't handle bad weather greatly."


Teki:

"Ha! Flame boy can talk. I'm quite skilled with magic and I don't tolerate heights very well." I said.


Umi:

"Oh, I'm Umi and I love cute things but dark places scare me a lot."


Mizu:

"I have no faults." was all I said.
