New re-release issues

I know it might be REALLY early, but I've been trying to adopt new eggs at the cavies, that seem to be rare..but once I name them, they turn into a common species, not the re-released species i saw before I name it. I'm not sure if there needs to be more than 10 minutes for it to activate, but I've already wasted my 10 tries, they were all changed to commons :/
