Just a quick question...

What's the difference between a common item and a virtually unobtainable item?

Pretty much what it implies. It's the item's rarity.
o Common: Easily found in the shops and not too difficult to obtain
o Virtually unobtainable item: Hard to find in shop, more difficult to obtain, but not impossible to find.

Rarity (I'm pretty sure it goes something like this)
Common->uncommon->rare->very rare->ultra rare- virtually unobtainable->retired/unobtainable
