Levels and Stages?

How do levels and stages go together? Is it 500 levels for a creature with 4 stages, 1000 levels for a creature with 2 stages, etc......and is that across the board, or are there different amounts of levels for each stage when it comes to different species?

Levels don't go with stages at all.
Levels are just important for the all time leaderboard, or immorality. Immortality is reached at level 2000, and it means that when a creature reaches 0 happiness, it won't die.

Creatures evolve by either views, clicks, or feeds. Creatures need a set amount of them to evolve.
