Creature suggestion ~Clara~ (with art)

This creature is something I actually sketched out a long time ago, but thought it might make a good egg. It's definitely a little strange, but I really like it, so tell me what you think!

Rough Bio:
Clara's are extremely shy and skittish desert creatures, and it's almost impossible to get them to open up. When frightened they curl up into balls with their protective shells facing outwards. They move and eat very delicately, mostly sipping flower nectar and chewing on juicy cactus pears. Their sandy shells allow them to blend in well with the desert environment. Many people unknowingly pass them by thinking they are rocks. Taming a Clara takes extreme patience, as small things like loud noises and sudden movements are sure to send them back into their shells.
