Haggling Item

I'm having a pretty horrible time trying to haggle with the shopkeepers.

Every time you must enter a security code, which gets really annoying and slows me down, but the worst of it is after typing the first three numbers, it flashes to the top where I enter my offer, so I have to check I am not offering 45071 for a 450 item. Then I must delete those extra numbers and click down to the security code and continue the rather slowing down process.

And for a 532 EC ask price, isn't 450 or even a 490 offer okay? Because if I have to suggest the same thing about 5 times, it's not gonna work because of the security code, whether it is glitching or not.
