I think I got a virus from Egg Cave. I think I might of been in the Auctions and something popped up saying I got a virus. What should I do?

Hmm.. I've never had that happen before. You could try investing in Adblock?

I recommend running a virus scan, and if there is something, to remove it.

It is possible that is from the ads, but make sure that it was Eggcave that did give you the ad, because other websites are just as malicious.
As Moustachio said, it might be a good idea to invest in AdBlock, however, Eggcave does make money to support the website with ads, so if you can, try to avoid getting AdBlock unless the virus is truly from Eggcave.

I doubt that it's from egg cave, but some ad.

Are you absolutely certain it's from EggCave? (You did not have any other tabs open etc)

Do you have an antivirus scanner?

If you really received a virus, it's mostly likely from a download.
If not, then it's probably just a popup to scare you.

At the time it happened, I did not have any anti virus or anything, and I was just on Egg Cave and I got a popup saying I got a virus. After that, I installed an app (It was on my tablet) called Norton Security. This morning I did a scan and it said their was not anything detected.
I cannot get on Egg Cave from my tablet anymore and my Internet is very slow on it. Sometimes I'll try and the website will load but it won't let me log on. Thanks for helping me.
