"Assumptions?"

Scythe muttered to herself, still not over with the Sound girl. They weren't assumptions. Obviously, anybody who showed up this late were cowards, not fighting for the Rising Sun, their absence just increasing Morbid's chances of prevailing.

She grabbed her favorite weapon- of course, a scythe- and disemboweled a scarecrow.

When the girl didn't reply, Reyna just nodded half-heartedly and went back up to where Scythe was practicing. Sitting down dejectedly, she sighed like the world was going to end and she had just given up fighting.
'Oh well.' she thought silently, aware of Scythe currently observing her.
'Another one gone...' she looked up from her musings at Scythe and explained, "She's not accepted it, that the Faceless can't die."

After a moment's hesitation she added, "Besides, I don't trust her, the way that she was acting against you..." Reyna made sure that she had blocked all entry ways to her mind from any probing person and continued to observe the fluid movements of Scythe as she practiced.

Emotion walked out of the shadows and watched Scythe practice. "Cool." She whispered and smiled a bit. She looked a little frightened and confused. She didn't know where to go. She had no direction.

Scythe nodded, swinging the scythe over, down and around her head and onto the skull of a plush dummy. Scythe knew the Faceless wouldn't die, they would come back if some mortal like her got lucky enough to find a weak spot. They would never truly be dead. The Doors of Death were nothing to the Faceless, continually pushed open again and again.

"I don't trust her either, but she might have potential. Why did she come anyway, just to blow up the camp?"

Scythe mused, straw flying out in askewed directions. Scythe paused, resting the blade of her weapon down on the ground. She turned to face the newcomer (Emotion) with fragments of a smile.

"And you are? I suppose you've got skill, since you've been hidden from us all this time. Necromancer?"

Emotion looked at her. "I have no skill. I just now figured out how use my powers. I'm Emotion by the way." She said shyly.

Scythe nodded, decapitating another practice dummy. They would make her resew the heads of the dummies back on later. She twirled the scythe in her hands, setting it back down again.

"My name's Scythe Song. My Taken Name, that is."

Sound soon arrived back in her home, miles below. No one but a fellow necromancer could find her here, and not even most of those. She looked up wards, trying to figure out the exact location the camp was from above. She didnt want it cought up in the oncoming flood. she water about with a skeloton wall. She left it up, if the camp was threatened it would protect them.

Scythe nodded, resting her blade down in the dirt ground. They were planning a siege, a siege very soon. And she would be a front line fighter, along with the rest of her friends. Pawns, disposable, sent to die and maybe weaken the defenses in the process.

Libby could feel the skeleton wall, she had grown sensitive ennough to her surroundings to be able to tell when someone was meddling with death. She didn't like Sound, but she was gifted, and she would be a valuable asset ot the battles to come. Libby felt a stab of remorse when she had forced the girl away, but replaced the feeling with a sharp tang of spite at how she could pretend that she was so much better than eveyrone else. Libby didn't like Sound, and if the other girl didn't like her, that would be find after all.

"I don't really care." She spoke aloud, not noticing Emotion, the girl seemed to silently creep up on her consciousness and Libby realized with a start why she hadn't been able to sense her.

'I've been so concentrated on the dead that I haven't been able to notice the living. I really have to get back into my life.' she thought sardonically. Even her mind voice had taken the edge that she had found in her tone more often than not. It was like the beginnings of a tune as a pianist ran their swift fingers across the keys, but this tune formed the scratching of a blackboard for Libby, and made her almost want to shriek to release her pent up tension.

She had been wound tighter than yarn that wouldn't unwind and Libby didn't particularly like the feeling it was granting her.

Sound relaxed in her home. 'maybe is should take the wall down. its draining on my powers and what do i care if they get flooded? but why would i do that........' she thinks to herself.

@fluffy Okey doke! I'm going to be on EC almost all day, because I can't do anything. Our 1/4 mile long driveway is frozen solid, we aren't allowed to go outside. All my snow gear is too small, and my brother's is all too big >.<

Libby thought about her time in the darkness a few years back, and her adventures with Skulduggery, at least when he was still alive. She remembered how Serpine had murdered his wife and he just lost it. Libby shuddered as she worked to suppress the memories once more. She tried to bury them under a mound of other conscious thoughts.

Turning to Scythe she asked, "Do you think that Sound will actually end up fighting under the Rising Sun?"

Scythe pondered the question Libby had asked. She knew that she wanted to say no, but she couldn't lie to Libby.

"Maybe. I think she wants to, but it depends if Sol will let her."

Scythe answered, resting on a bale of hay. It always depended on the leader, Sol. Scythe ground her teeth thinking about the stubborn leader. With a set jaw, Scythe swung her weapon down at the mud and dirt, imagining Sol standing above her. Of course, Sol would find some way to critique her skills or reprimand her techniques.

Libby watched Scythe and shuddered again when she answered, it was always about Sol, and Sol wasn't always the most accommodating.

"I really hope he doesn't, but Sound is a rather powerful necromancer, even if she can't do the things that i can, but she has different strenghts than I do, and she can do different things than I can," Libby babbled, somehow, she couldn't control the words that were running out of her mouth, faster than a rushing brook.

Stretching out like Scythe, she did a couple quick somersaults and back hand springs.

"I knew that she was a necromancer. Death radiates in such repulsive numbers from her essence, so I assumed that she has... skill. Obviously, she doesn't have control though."

Scythe decided, polishing her prized weapon. The ebony handle glinted in morose lighting, like the shine in the eye of a hidden creature of the dark. The crisp metal blade seemed to slice time itself, shredding whatever stood in its path.

Doing three quick cartwheels in succession she finished with a perfect round-off, landing soundly back onto her black boots as they thumped on the ground. A figure approached as Libby was upside down, doing a handstand. She quickly recallibrated and saw Sol walking towards them.

Sol's blonde hair hung in long, straight locks down towards her hips. Golden strands swung in perfect sync with her march-like formation. Scythe muttered something inaudible for Sol to understand, but just loud enough for her to catch a few words. Scythe hoped she caught "Dirty rat".

"You're back?"

Scythe asked Sound questioningly, a bit surprised that the girl had come back. Would Sol let her into the Legion? She tried to read Sol's face, but got nothing. Her calm and demure expression rested upon Sound with narrowing grey eyes.

"Where do you come from, intruder?"

Sol asked calmly, politely.

Sound looks back, just as calm and collected. "The underworld is my home. but its haveing problems of its on with those....things." She says with a angry edge deep in her voice. "I want them gone. forever. If fighting alongside you is the only way to do it, then ill do it."

Sol rolled her eyes at Scythe as she concentrated more on the new person, based on the memoires of Scythe and Libitina she knew the girl wasnamed Sound, but not more than that.

She noticed the girl was addressing her but sighed resentfully before saying anything. Finally, she said, "Okay, what can you do?"

Sol raised her eyebrows, intrigued. She made a quick analysis of the newcomer, scanning her. Obviously, a necromancer. In partnership with Death? Unlikely. Death himself was a neutral Faceless.

"The Faceless don't die. They are unaffected by the Doors of Death. But joining our Legion may slow their reincarnation down, if you have skill. It is currently unclear whether you will be useful... Or a burden."

Sol started, considering her options.

"You are permitted to enter, but your skills must be demonstrated to our higher powers before you are accepted."

Scythe knew that Sound was in for it now. Underestimating Sol? Not a good idea. Sol, though she looked small, could make your life absolutely awful. The worst part was that you couldn't do anything about it, and neither could anybody else. She would critique you, or spar with you a little too roughly, but people just turned their heads the other direction.

She sighed dramatically, "Well, i guess I was wrong, most of the time I do judge people a little more than they truly deserve."

"Dont assume that i knew. I havent been to the surface in decades." Sound says coldly. She considered attacking her, but that wouldnt do. She was oviusly a bad leader. Sound decided, because why else would she act like this?
