is the thief shop or asteriod harder to get creatures from?

I think the Thief Shop is harder. At the Species Rarity Table, it says that Thief Shop creatures are rarer than Asteroid creatures.

PS: I joined EggCave about half a year ago. I've got 2 Asteroid eggs from the Asteroid, but I didn't get any Thief Shop eggs
