Ashstrike's right ear twitched. The kit was definently one of the Riverclan cats who had just trotted into their camp. Usually, Ashstrike would be uneasy about the fact of foreign clans entering their camp, but she purred the thought away. She always had a soft spot for kits.
"I'm Ashstrike," the gray tabby greeted, "and of course!"

"Thank you!" Willowkit mewed. Harepelt came up to the pair. "Hello Ashstike. I see you've met my daughter, Willowkit." He meowed warmly.

Thornpaw snarled but released Wetpelt. "You really think I'm an mouse-brained kit, don't you? I don't need to hit someone, I need time...Time!" she meowed, her eyes turning frantic before she turned around and galloped away.

Wetpelt searched the forest in front of her, at a loss for word. She bit back more tears and fled back to camp, going straight to the apprentices den. She laid down next to her mother and started to mutter to her. She looked up at Skypaw. "Please... you have to be there for Thornpaw..." She hoped that sent the unspoken message to go find Thornpaw, before the apprentice got herself into trouble.

Ashstrike turned her head to see a dusty brown tom. It was Harepelt, the deputy.
"She's a very energetic kit," she purred with comfort.
Ashstrike took note of Harepelt's peculiar eyes. They were a purple hue, not something you would see often. The she-cat looked down at Willowkit and noticed the same purple hue in one of her eyes.
"I was going to give her a tour of Windclan," Ashstrike stated, "would you want to join us?"

"Sure." he meowed. "When do we go home?" Willowkit asked, looking at her father. "Willowkit, this IS home now." Snowkit meowed flatly before glaring at Harepelt.

Ashstrike began to pace due south from the centre of camp. The she-cat padded until she reached a large den. It was decorated with the scents of lavender.
"Here's the nursery," Ashstrike explained.

"I've already been in here..." Snowkit meowed grumpily. Willowkit flicked her with her tail. "Be nice." the kit snapped. 'Well, unlike you, I miss our mother.' Snowkit's voice rang clearly in Willowkit's head for once. 'I miss her too,' Willowkit shot back. 'But I'm making the most out of living in Windclan, especially since it might be temporaray.' 'Whatever.' "Smells lavender-ry." Willowkit noted, looking at Ashstrike.

Ashstrike watched the kits argue in silence. She was both astonished and curious at the same time. Was this how it was to have a littermate? Ashstrike chuckled the thought away.
"There is lavender growing around this den," Ashstrike explained, "the queens love the smell."
The gray tabby then padded over to the right. It was a den that she remembered as the Elders Den.

"Lavender smells nice." Willowkit mewed quietly. The kits followed Ashstike to the den, and smelled the faint scent of the elders. 'Great, Windclan's old cats...' Snowkit thought. Willowkit glared at her. 'Just because they're from a different clan, the doesn't mean you can disrespect them.' Willowkit's thoughts sounded angry to Snowkit, but she brushed it off. 'Can we start planning our escape yet?' Willowkit sighed mentally, making Snowkit even more annoyed. 'We an discuss it AFTER our camp tour.' Willowkit turned back to Ashstrike after her mental argument with her sister. She noticed the she-cat looking slightly confused, but ignored her expression.

(okay, I forgot to mention that Willowkit, Snowkit, and Icekit have a mental connection that they can talk to each other with. When I use this symbol ' ' , It means the cat is thinking the words. When I use " " the cat is actually saying it out loud. And I'll get to making the Windclan elders list right away!)

Ashstrike began to pad again towards a serene and tranquil den. The tabby warrior stopped in front of the den and took a whiff of the strong scent of herbs lingering in the air around the den. She looked down at the two kits.
"Any guess what this den might be?" Ashstrike questioned.

Wetpelt sighed in relief as Skypaw went to retrieve Thornpaw, and continued to comfort her mother.

"The Medicine den?" Willowkit guessed, her ear twitching slightly out of surprise. Snowkit was silent. Then Willowkit saw she was sniffing the air. Then a realization struck her. 'Hollyberry is in there!' she shouted at Snowkit mentally. 'I know, furball.' Just then, a green and red flash came from the dark and disappeared, ruffling the cats' fur. Snowkit and Willowkit looked at each other with sly smiles. "Hollyberry." They mewed at the same time before breaking into a pack of giggles.

Ashstrike glanced at the two kits giggling, and chuckled. She then turned to the midnight she-cat. The gray tabby gazed into the she-cat's eyes. She too, had peculiar eyes.
"Greetings Hollyberry," Ashstrike smiled.

"It's been a while, Ashstrike." Poppytail meowed, padding out of her den. "How are you?"

Skypaw searched and searched and finally found Thornpaw sitting near the river. He walked over and sat beside her. They both sighed.

"Hello Ashstrike!" Hollyberry meowed cheerfully, and looked down to notice Snowkit and Willowkit giggling. "Well it's a good thing they're getting settled in well." she said quietly to Ashstrike and Poppytail.

Skypaw sighed and gave Thornpaw a friendly lick, which she rejected violently. The young cat looked away, feeling humiliated. He looked again at Thornpaw when he heard her sobs. "Shhhhh! Don't cry!" Skypaw whispered, gently wiping the tears away with his paw. "Why? Why does everything have to be taken away from me? WHY?!" Thornpaw meowed, more tears streaming down her face. Skypaw's heart sank and he approached the apprentice, giving her a welcoming stare. Thornpaw didn't waste a second to through herself into his welcoming arms and bury her face in his comforting fur. "Don't worry, I'll always be at your side. Always..." he whispered in her ear.

Ashstrike dipped her head to the she-cat and smiled, "I'm doing great, thanks for asking."
The gray tabby looked to the kits as well, and then back to Hollyberry and Poppytail.
"I agree," Ashstrike purred, "I can't imagine having to switch clans."

Willowkit suddenly stopped laughing, and stood up. "Somethings wrong." She mewed quietly. Snowkit stopped laughing as well and glanced at her sister.

Willowkit said nothing, only making a mad dash for the camp entrance. She slipped out, Harepelt close on her heels. When she began to smell the Riverclan border, her father leaped over her, and landed in front. "Willowkit, come back to camp. Now." She searched her fathers eyes, finding only anger. She tried to leap over him, but landed on his head. Willowkit pushed off her fathers head for an extra boost, and to her satisfaction, it drove Harepelt straight into the dirt. She carefully picked her way down the gorge wall, and slipped into the river on accident. "Help!" she began to wail, hoping someone would hear her as she was swept away with the river.

Both apprentices looked up at the cry. "Willowkit!" Thornpaw exclaimed, before she saw a gray blur dive into the river and start swimming over to the panicked kit. "Skypaw!!!"

Willowkit kicked spastically, trying to gain control and swim through the current. Her head went under and all her thoughts were 'I'm dead.'

Skypaw grabbed the kit by the scuff of the neck and dragged her back to shore. "We're not called Riverclan for nothing." he panted, letting the kit down.

"Thanks." Willowkit panted. She shook. "I don't want to go back..." she screwed up her face to fight back tears. She shivered as the water crept even deeper into hr, freezing her inside. (hmm.. it's leafbare, right?) "Willowkit!!" her father called farther from the gorge. Willowkit's head snapped up, and Snowkit's voice rang once more. 'Don't forget meeeee!!!!!!!' it yelped. 'Snowkit, if you get any louder, I'm going to loose my hearing.' 'Sorry.' Willowkit watched Harepelt climbed up the slope, and glanced a Skypaw to see what he would say to the other tom.

Hollyberry glanced back and forth between Ashstrike and Poppytail. "I think I'll wait here until the come back." she meowed as she sat down and began to wash herself.

"Excuse me? I just saved your `daughter's` life, you could show a little more thankfulness!" Thornpaw silently approached Willowkit, looking at Harepelt's every movement
