It's hard for the artists to keep up with demand sometimes as it is, especially if artists quit or are unaccessible. It's not that the site is trying to be stingy with art, I'm sure they'd love to post more. But please realize that real people put a lot of work into those little pixels, even if you don't find them "cool".

People don't have to pay for creatures any more than someone has to buy a video game they want. You pay for it if you think it's worth it, and if you can't, that's unfortunate. But EggCave has to provide for itself to stay a free to play site.

No! Not at all this is pretty good feedback (i see your point) and i think you are more reasonable! 4 maybe too much but 2 better creatures could possibly be a better dealing

@dragrawr 2 species for month it's more than enough in my opinion. No way about 4. 3 it's a big number already. And what determinates if a creature is rarer or not is the number of stolen creatures that are in game. There's no way for a creature to be rare if everyone can gets it, unless is like Mo or Terron, but if you check their rarities, you'll see that there are other cave creatures rarer than them.

I agree about people who can't buy CC, but that's how the game works. I never bought CC here, but I worked hard to get the creatures I have.

And what do you mean with "cool creature" or "better looking creature"? It's all a question of point of view. On this month for example, the most beautiful creature, for me, it's Vaccin. So I can say it is cool. But Vaccin is from the cave, so not many people will think they're cool. If it were a CC creature then everyone would think. Look at Dianesia, Canic, Oos. They're not beautiful (for me), but they're CC creatures, so they are "cool". So my point is: people will consider "cool" whatever is bought from CC. I know I am generalizing a lot, but I think most things work like that.

"Not as cool" sounds a bit... mean to the artists. I'm sure they're doing their best to produce their best art for the site, and I have no experience in this whatsoever, but it's likely a time-consuming process as it is to create two cave monthlies and two CC monthlies (plus one extra on holidays).

It's also a subjective topic, as raitonchidori said. I didn't particularly like the Megalenox, but someone else was collecting them. It's all a matter of opinion what people think are cool or not.

If you look at the population chart, you can see that some creatures from earlier in the year are lower than some that are more recent. Like the Fintis, released in March, are 70/452. and the Gerats, from September, are 84/452. They probably had the same release ratio, but the Fintis are more populous because people liked them more.

There are some ways to get CC, like trading for it, so it's not completely impossible to get. Even this month, if you do well on the Gobbler hunt, you can get 500 CC.

I think two is enough. Four is an awful lot for the artists to keep up with every month.

That said, I do think there should be more attention paid to cave LEs for holidays. Lately, it seems that there have been just CC creatures released. I don't mind really since I spend a lot of money on CC here from time to time, but I can see how it might leave a bad taste in some people's mouths if the only creature released around holidays costs real money. I'm not saying this has to be the case for every holiday, but major ones like Halloween would be nice.

Also, define "cool"? I think the cave monthlies have been absolutely lovely over the past few months. It's all subjective anyway. How would we determine which creatures are "cool" and which ones are not? There is no objective way to do that.
