Reverting to their human form and continuing doing a bat and flying squirrel hybrid flight, Nimbus could see a small figure below them.
"Huh...? What's down there?" Nimbus started down with a puzzled look, until they continued flying.

Holly whistled and a hawk hopped on her shoulder. He squinted and screeched. "Drago?" she wondered. The hawk moved to her wrist and she raised her hand and so the hawk took flight in the direction of the figures.

The hawk screeched and circled Drago. He then screeched really loudly in his ear and then dove to land on Holly's forearm.

Holly sighed and the hawk took flight, annoyed. It flew back to Drago, flying as hard as it could. When he finally arrived beside Drago, he screeched, but the sound got lost in the wind. Holly sighed again whispered something in her hand. She twirled her hand before opening it, the sound of her voice riding the wind to reach Drago's ears. "I'd like to join..."

"The hawk told me this `Nimbus` is planning to create a group to get us out of here, and I'd like to get out as soon as possible of this forest." Holly turned away from Drago to stare at the nature around them. "I remember the chanting every forest has, and this one doesn't seem to have it..."she turned back to Drago. "It seems lifeless...in a way."

Nimbus looked down, seeing a hawk, then Holly.
"Huh? What's going down there? I'll catch up with you later." Nimbus swooped down using their cape nearby Holly, and looked near her after landing.
"What's going on around here?"

Knowing I was being ignored I left the group from my vantage point in the sky and landed down beside Holly, perching among the trees, cautious to not allow myself to touch the trees.

Stealthily out of view I hopped down to a safe spot behind the group and tossed the glamour back up, although reluctantly. Once everything was in place, aside from the wings I'd never learned to cover with the glamour, I simply tucked them into my sweater, I headed out to the clearing.


I turned to Arui. "I just want to say sorry about earlier today. No hard feelings right?"


I shook my head to try to clear it, wanting to know how to control these changes, when I was able to catch sight of movement off to my side. A bird, becoming human, concealing wings under a sweater.

Curiosity taking hold I flew over there, worming my way around the trees, wrapping my body around the branches and digging my talons into the base of a branch to observe everything.

"No problem. I felt like this happened so many times in the past. Anyways, I never got a chance to know your name. Who are you?"

Nimbus smiled.
"Yep! I'm Nimbus. Been around trying to find a simple way to get out. If our memories are linked, then we need to find our memories! Want to join our group?"

Garie giggled. She looked at Eli sarcastically.

"Yay! It's great to see that a lot are trying to get out of here! I always wanted to know what's past this area..."
Nimbus jumped in joy, then looked at the night sky, tons of stars shining and creating a beautiful galaxy aesthetic.
"I always wanted to know what's past there."

"Then let's do it." I interupted. "These are our hopes. There is no way this is real." I looked at the people who had joined us and nodded to myself. It's truly amazing how many people have such hopes.

"...Wait.." I protested as Drago and the others left me behind. I struggled to beat my exhausted wings faster. I tried to catch up with them, and that hawk who'd appeared, but my wings were heavy and felt like lead. A sudden cold wind swept against me, sending me spiraling off course. I struggled to take control again, but finally gave up and just left myself float in the breeze for a while.

I slowly began to lower my attitude, soon landing on a large pine tree. My talons scrabbled for a hold, sending some small bits of bark flying. I wrapped myself tightly around the tree, folding my wings against my back. I closed my eyes, still gripping the bark tightly, and fell into an exhausted slumber.


Confusion ran through my mind when I found myself lying against the ground. Had I tripped or something? I stood up, even more confused to find myself in a forest. Did I try a teleporting spell or something that went wrong?

A small, silver colored bubble floated in front of me. I gasped in delight, admiring its beauty. The night sky reflected into it perfectly, appearing as if the whole universe was trapped inside of it.

Enthralled, I reached out my hand to touch it.

I looked back to see Lin spiraling off of the trail. He neared the ground, but latched onto a pine tree, and was soon asleep.
Reaching through my pockets, which had some weird stuff in them, I got out a piece of paper and a pen and wrote a letter telling where we would be.

Heh, night sky in the day time. What is this, Night Vale?

Nimbus fluttered with exuberance seeing Drago's agreement.
"The night sky in the day sure seems unnatural, but let's let it slide for once. What can possibly go wrong?"
Suddenly, a bubble appeared in front. Excited, they grab and feel memories rush through their head.

"Nimbie! You have to keep on trying! If you can't use your powers correctly, how are you going to survive?"
Nimbus kept on fighting a training dummy to at least knock it down.
"I'm doing as best as I can...! It's hard trying to train if I can't do my own method!"
"Your way of training won't do any good at all outside! Do my way or you'll die outside!"
Nimbus looked in anger at the elemental. They then charged up a heavy tornado behind them, and attacked, pushing the other elemental off the edge, which was an ocean. Due to the fall, it was next to impossible to transform into a creature or the elemental form.
"I won't die outside! If my capabilities are very powerful, then why do I need any training...!"
...
...
"Nimbus... I think it's time for you to go." An elemental in their human form looked down at Nimbus with a grimace.
"At this age, you're just going to destroy the place. Not to mention Stratus's disappearance."
Nimbus looked at the elemental with anger.
"It was their fault that they won't let me do it my way! I can take care of my self!"
The elemental shook their head.
"It's time for you to leave. Once you leave, never come back to us. It's dangerous to keep you here."
Nimbus looked at them one last time with the most enraged face they made.
"F-Fine! At least the humans will take better care of me than you all do!"
Saying their last words to the species, Nimbus leaped towards the edge, and glided away. A barrier created out of stars appeared behind, as it sealed Nimbus and kept them trapped away from the clouds.

Nimbus looked at the sky afterwards.
"...Was it really my fault? Stratus should've been listening."

Nimbus looked at Holly.
"It's nothing... It's just some plain old memory."
They began to nervously laugh out of that memory they got.

Arui's ears rang from that name.
"Why is it that I heard that name before...?"
She trailed off, until looking at Alyss.
"Oh! My name's Arui. I feel as if your name was something I heard somewhere before..."

Because of coughs, Arui and Alyss begin to gradually remember each other : 3c

Arui looked at Alyss with a bit of a familiar face.
"I swear I remember you when I was just young... It feels like meeting an old friend for the first time. Hmm..." She put both of her hands in the shorts's pockets, walking alongside Alyss, until seeing Kirio.
"Huh? What is Nira..."

Kirio was a gumiho, carrying somebody's tome and running towards Arui.
"Arui! I'm trying to get rid of this book, it's corrupted and left somebody unconscious! I don't want this book to harm anybody!"

The female looked at her friend in a puzzled look.
"O-Okay. But you should stay with us. Do you know who's Alyss?" Arui asked Kirio, hoping they know something.

Kirio's mind trailed off, knowing they remember that name or something.
"That name... It's something I know, but I can't put my paw into it..."
Kirio then transformed into a fox to keep up with the group, since their other forms are slower.

Arui then saw Nimbus and a group, as if they have something planning.
"Hey, Alyss, what's going on down there?"

Startled by Garie, Nimbus accidentally created a strong tornado towards her.
"Gyagh! Sorry... That happens when I'm nervous! Wh-Who are you?!"
Nimbus slowly grabbed their pistol from the side, watching the newcomer.
"B-Better not do anything suspicious."
