renaming creatures

I think it would be great to be able to rename our creatures and make it so that they could have the same name as other creatures. Personally, I like to name things based off how they look and since they change as they grow I can't do that as efficiently as I would like.

*sighs* unfortunately, good names have acquired a lot of value.... so implementing that might be unfair to people who've spent a lot of time and effort trying to get certain names... I do agree it would be easier if you could name a creature whatever you wanted, but name collecting has become too much a part of the Egg Cave trading system to do that now...

Edit: I wonder if it was made so that no two creatures can have the same name but you can still rename them if it would be a better idea?

I'm not sure if I'm understanding this correctly, but there is a way to rename the creatures at the town hall for 1,000 EC.
