Idea:Self-Set Notifications

Countless times I've simply forgotten to bid on an auction I wanted, and went to it finding it had already passed! My memory is pretty spotty most of the time... But a little reminder really helps.

What if we could schedule notification alerts for ourselves?

For example, you could even set a notification for other things.

"It's ______ birthday today!"
"Do transfers before your Kyaondi evolves!"
"Save up 55k EC for that trade!"


Of course, I'm open to any opinions on the matter. Any thoughts?

Please state reasons against this as well, I like to know why.

I set alerts for myself with my phone for events I don't want to miss using the calendar or alarm app. The self-notification alert might not work if you're not on Egg Cave that frequently. The event might pass before you get to see the notification. It might work for events farther into the future; maybe a post-it panel on the side instead of a one-time notification so that you are constantly reminded.

customizing your notifications is definitely needed. I get so frustrated when I get excited seeing a notification and then seeing it's just another 'Thanks for logging in today!' or 'Your Star creature has received it's bonus!' >.< I've always wanted to turn those off.
