Kirio grimaced at Maria.
"Blame that half dragon who decided to try and kill my friend. I don't know what you're trying to do, but don't get in our way!"
They released three homing spectres towards them.
"If you decide to, then..."
The cannon turned into a sabre, black like the shadows it was made with.
"There's a reason I supported the humans. I was born human, despite the change in my life. Even though the gumiho isn't human, they helped me support. All these humans I met in my life... They're the reason why I despise the war and why I despise everything about this."

Maria quickly made a water barrier.
"I don't intend to battle, nor do I intend to disrupt whatever you are doing."
She quickly jumped aside.
"I hate seeing people and creatures alike get hurt. I don't want to hurt you either. If you want me to leave, I will."
She changed into an otter and left.

I crossed my arms over my face instinctively as the explosion sounded. My dark scales protected it from the worse of the burns, but I couldn't say that for the rest of my body. I cursed loudly as I was flung backwards, struggling to slow myself by flapping my wings against the wind with no prevail. My sword whizzed out of my hands, falling into the streets below.

I yelped in pain when I hit the sides of a tall, hard building. My wing gave a sickening crack as me and it collided. It went, limp and I started falling to the ground like a rock. I desperately struggled to keep flight with my one good wing.hard A few chunks of debris I had knocked loose fell down beside me.

Falling with a thud on the ground below, I crumpled into unconscious.

Luke peered over at the half dragon. "He's alive, but unconscious. Let's get out of here while we can." He said to Isabelle, who nodded, then turned towards where they were before the fight broke out, and continued in that direction.

Along the way, they stumbled upon a large, dark silver sword, with what looked like a bunch of ancient runes on it. Isabelle picked it up, looking closely at the designs. "Keep it," Luke said. "It might become useful later." Isabelle shook her head, shoving the sword at him. "I don't want it. You know it belongs to the half dragon, and without it he seems pretty defenseless." Luke rolled his eyes again. "Why do you care?" He asked, annoyed.

Isabelle just shook her head. "No more death is needed, just give it back to him." Isabelle frowned slightly, remembering Alex's death. It still hurt just as much as it had hurt the first day without her. Once Alex died, Isabelle had stopped engaging in battles, and found herself disliking the idea of death. The half dragon was almost defenseless, just like Alex when she was attacked. Luke seemed to sense that Isabelle had lost someone important to her, and stopped arguing. Sighing, he took the sword from Isabelle, and they headed back towards the unconscious half dragon.

Isabelle continued the conversation as they walked. "Besides, you know it's a fire sword. We're both wind and water, we don't mix with fire." Luke turned and looked at Isabelle. "You know, I never got your name, even though we've established that we're siblings." He said.

"My name's Isabelle." She answered, glancing up at him. They soon reached the half dragon again, and Luke simply tossed the sword, which landed a few inches away from the half dragon's body. "Alright, let's get out of here before he wakes up." Luke muttered, continuing his walk in the direction they had come from.

Huma watched as the battle continued until the half dragon feel. He landed not too far off and sat there watching him. After the angels left his weapon the phoenix-drake walked closer to observe the others wounds.

He looked up in surprise as he heard more footsteps and the girl from earlier who pushed him back came over at a light jog.

"Is he going to be okay?" She asked. "Or are we unsure currently?"

Isabelle and Luke sat down on the top of the hill that Isabelle had been watching the battle from. Luke looked at Isabelle's wings, slightly concerned. They had been injured to the point where she could not fly, but were not too severely burn. "I'll be back, I'm just going into that meadow for a while." Luke said, turning and walking down the hill. Isabelle sat there for a while, unsure of what to do. She waited for Luke to return, and when he did, he returned with a handful of plants.

"Here, these should help your burns." Luke settled down next to Isabelle, and sliced open the aloe vera plant, then scooped out the gel and applied it to Isabelle's wings. Isabelle winced at the stinging sensation, then relaxed a bit as the burned area felt much better. Seeing as the burned area was a bit smaller than Luke expected, they had many leaves left over.

"We should take some to the half dragon, he looked like he had some pretty nasty burns." Luke suggested. Isabelle looked up, surprised that Luke was willing to go help out the half dragon. "I thought you didn't like him very much." She said, confused. Luke only shrugged, and stood up to his feet. "As much as I like a good battle, I hate to see someone in too much pain." He admitted, handing the leaves to Isabelle.

They soon arrived back in the town to find a drake-phoenix hybrid and tall girl standing by the half dragon.

Maria was now standing on a small, stone pavement. She sighed worriedly. Just then, the shield she had put up against Kirio's attack finally took its toll on her, giving her a shocking sensation at her shoulders. She staggered a little, but quickly regained her balance.

Darrien glanced up as the angels returned here. "Everything is fine now thank you." She said, her voice strained slightly. She really didn't like too many people in one place, not when the half-dragon lying at her feet had tried to kill them.

Arui carried her younger self, and went off to Kirio.

The gumiho was shocked to see the two.
"What are you doing here! You could've hurt yourself!"

"I know, but pure energy isn't going to help. If electricity is the combination of heat and cold energy, and you hit it with either two, they explode. Without me, you won't make it out." Arui looked at the distance, seeing a sword. She approached it, and began to inspect it.
"So this is the sword of that hybrid..."

"Arui...? We better run. Once they wake up, they're just gonna come back and kill you." Kirio became a fox, and the friends dashed away.

She dived into the ground and swam all the way to the pond.
"I'm back."

Arui and Kirio began dashing through the forest, and never wanting to return to the town again.
"How's it like living through the war again...?" Kirio looked at Arui with a wink in their face.

She sighed.
"Terrible. I don't even like this time period, which is the reason I time traveled. The reason why the time orb has no real origin, nor the two twins is unknown as well. If I purpously died in the timeline before I send the orb to the tower, it means that I destroyed the time loop, so the twins and orb appeared from the tower out of nowhere, or so I heard." She shook her head, and looked at some hooded creatures running after them, the one in the middle having a dark aura around them and shadows appearing out of nowhere.

"Get the three. Alive. Now." The middle creature commanding the two behind it, eyes glowing red, and shadow tentacles chasing the two as fast as possible.

Kirio tried to outrun the shadows and it wrapped one of their tails.
"N...No!" They tried to pull them towards them, but tried to run away.
