Retired creatures that do not evolve...as yet?

So I was poking around in the Archives just looking at various creatures and I came upon the Invernut. Now to be honest, I actually saw the invernut on the Click Exchange and wanted to know what it would evolve into. Imagine my surprise when I see it is Retired and the next 3 stages of evolution are great big
question marks.
Is there a major backlog at the SAR? Are there more retired creatures out there that are sitting in limbo and not evolving?



Ohhhh...I thought the SAR was responsible for the 'question marks'. So why are the next stages of evolution a secret?

They evolve. The stages are just hidden.

Yep they can evolve however the stages are just hidden. There are a few creatures like this and it just means people can't see the order in the archives.

Thank you jazzyleia. So is the reason they are a mystery like that simply for the element of surprise?

Ok I will just have to accept this...won't I? lol
