Map: (More will be updated and added in the future. Feel free to make or suggest your own in the RP.)
Camp Mikado: The base camp of team Mikado. It's located slightly east of Nevaeh Town in a small clearing of a forest. It's mostly just a small cluster of tents surrounding a campfire. It's located right next to a small river.
Nevaeh Town(Nah-vay-ah): Pretty much the equivalent of Treasure town. It's a small, quiet town with a variety of shops in it. Rescue teams and exploration teams are often seen traveling through it.

Alex stretches wearily. She gets up and glances around Camp Mikado. "Finally. Daybreak." she says yawning. "I wonder what will happen today!" She strokes her fur, wiping the dirt off it.

Cadenza rose stoutly from her small nest of moss, her narrow beak opening into a wide yawn. Blinking her eyes sleepily, she stumbled out of the tent entrance to see what other teammates were awake.
Hearing a small ripping sound, Cadenza turned back in confusion. Her claw had stuck to the fabric wall without her realizing it. Cadenza cursed softly under her breath, tugging at her stuck claw.


Jin was perched on the lower branches of a tree, overlooking the camp. His sagging eyes were fixed steadily on the blood red color of the sunrise.
He hadn't slept well that night. Nor most other nights. Jin was unsure why, but he kept on being plagued with horrible nightmares every time he closes his eyes. For a moment he considered telling someone, but quickly shook off that idea. It's not like telling anyone would stop his nightmares anyways. And besides, it wasn't as if there was anyone in this camp he was particularly close to.

Epsis crawled out of the small bush she had chosen to sleep in. She gave a huge yawn and blinked sleepily. Epsis stretched and smoothed out a tuff of fur on her chest that stuck up. The meowth looked around to see who else was up.

Nio and Aso woke up yawning. Today is anew day for helping others! Nio bounced around everywhere smiling. He isn't happy that someone is injured, he's just happy because he wants to help them.
Aso sighed at the energetic cousin of hers. She stood up tearing away from his fire mane and tail. She walked out of the tent with Nio.
"Is there anyone to help today?" Nio asked excitedly galloping around.

Jin surveyed the camp as it started to come to life. He folded his thick, silvery tail around his shoulders.
The eevee glanced to the ground hesitantly. It had taken him some time to get up on the tree branch, and now he had just one pressing concern; how was he getting down?

Cadenza yanked her claw free, tearing out a piece of the fabric in the process. Shaking the torn fabric from her claws, Cadenza marched to the dead fireplace, spitting out a small jet of flame. The fire roared up, starting to consume the last of the burnt sticks they had collected the previous night.
The combusken fearlessly crouched dangerously close the fire. Being a fire type herself she greatly enjoyed heat, especially in the cold of the morning--- or in the cold of anytime for that matter.

Alex runs over to Jin and smies. "Hello!" she said. "Need some help?" she dug her claws into the tree and pulled herself up. "My name's Alex, what's yours?"

"Jin," The eevee replied, examining the growlithe. He shuffled his paws, trying to hide his embarassment of being stuck. Jin was pretty sure he'd seen her once or twice around camp, but he didn't really recall talking to her at all.

Nio saw a Growlithe and a Eevee. One was up in a tree and the other was talking to it in the tree also talking to it.
Aso turned whirled around towards Aso.
"Hey, Nio. I'm going to find some berries we could just later on to help others," Aso told him. Trotting of she went further into the forest to find some berries.

Hesitating for a moment, Jin reluctantly climbed on the larger Pokémon's back. He stumbled slightly, trying get a grip on Alex's thick fur.

Cadenza started rummaging through the satchel on her shoulder. Inside was a small handful of healing berries, some apples, and gummies.
Plucking out a apple for herself, Cadenza started pondering if they should head for the town soon, since there seemed to be a bit of a food shortage.

"Ready? Ok let's go!" she said enthusiastically. Alex gripped the tree and climbed down face-first. When she was near the ground she jumped off and allowed Jin to climb off. "There!" she said shaking out her fur.

His nose twitched-- something felt weirdly off.

Cadenza pecked at her apple, using her claws like a shish kabob stick. She froze as a faint too-familar scent flooded into her nostrils. Burning.
Cadenza spun around. A thick dark grey cloud of foreboding sat smugly on the horizon. Cadenza hoped it was just a coincidence it was in the exact direction of where Nevaeh Town was.
"FIRE!" The Combusken screeched.
Without waiting for the others, she bolted towards the direction of the smoke. Kicking up dirt, twigs, and unidentified objects behind her, the Combusken pounded through the forest.
The distance between Nevaeh Town and Camp Mikado wasn't too long, but it was long enough that Cadenza was huffing loudly when she got there. Skidding to an abrupt halt with her heart beating a thousand miles a second, she hastily scanned the town for any signs of fire.
It wasn't too hard to spot the ablaze building surrounded by panicking Pokémon. Orange and red licked around the buildings' walls, looking like an huge sun. Cadenza might of stopped to admire it if she wasn't worried there were pokemon trapped inside.

Pollux went around Nevaeh Town. They were thinking about joining the Mikado Rescue team, but they had second thoughts. He want to join a Rescue Team, but he was a bit of a coward to try and help others.

Then he saw a fire. Not knowing what to do, he started to flee away from it, having no way of retaliating from said fire.

All Epsis heard was fire. "Fire?!" She saw Cadenza run off. Epsis ran after her as fast as she could. As she followed, Epsis could start to see the glow of the fire. A feeling of dread spread through her stomach.

Alex's ears perk up when she hears fire. She gasps as she sees the raging fire. She bolts in the direction of the fire yelling for the others. "FIRE! HELP! GUYS COME ON!"

Aso heard the alarm, she had some berries picked by the time and she got a bag to put them in. She had some Oran berries and Rawst berries that she could use. She galloped quickly to Nevaeh town. Followed by her is her cousin Nio.

Nio's ability Flash Fire won't let the fire burn him so he quickly ran to Nevaeh Town with the others racing quickly towards there.

Now was the absolute worst time for panicking.
So naturally, Cadenza started to panic.
Her pulse rising, the combusken jogged closer to the house, wishing there was a water type on the team Mikado. She knew they had to put out the fire quick before someone got hurt.
Cadenza was all out for a battle, but what was she suppose to do in a battle against fire? Kick it? Make MORE flames?

Jin's ears shot up in alarm when their team leader bolted, yelling about fire. He sprinted after the others as everyone started to race towards town, but with his smaller legs he couldn't move as fast and was quickly left in the dust. His breaths became heavy gasps.
The outline of the town came into view. A dark, menacing cloud of smoke overhang it, sending uneasy shivers down Jin's spine.
As he was heading towards it, a pokémon--- a duosion specifically was seen fleeing in the exact opposite direction.
"Hey! Don't you see the fire?" The Eevee barked after them. "Aren't you going to help?!"

"How am I supposed to help?! I don't have anything to put out the flames! Do I look like something that can extinguish flames so that it wouldn't spread?!" Pollux snapped. "I can't put out fire, wouldn't you know this? Jeez!"

"Calm down guys! Quit fighting!" Alex says. Her powers will prevent her from getting hurt, but she can't help with putting out the flames. "How can I help put out the flames? I don't have any water attacks. Does anyone have a water attack?"

Jin's ears went flat. His fur bristled at the other pokémon's rude tone.
"Sor-ree," The eevee snapped. "Do I look like I can spit water myself? At least I'm not running like a coward."

Cadenza shook her head. Right now was the worst time to fight.
"Guys... just don't," she pleaded, not in the mood of breaking up a fight.
"Alex, Nio, with me," she ordered the other two fire types, who would be resistant to fire. "Everyone else, make sure no one outside is injured, and find a water type if possible."
Cadenza trotted in the direction of the burning entrance, with the clear intention of saving any pokémon that were trapped inside.

"Ok!" Alex says trotting after her. She looks around for any trapped Pokemon. "HEY!" she yells. "I see a trapped deerling!" She runs to the deerling and tries to help pull her leg out of the rubble "She's stuck!" Alex yells.

Epsis nodded. She raced around, trying to find a water type pokemon. If she was a water type, where would she be? A pond or lake perhaps? Now where would a pond or lake be? Most likely in the forest. Epsis ran toward the forest.

Nio ran over to the feeling and used Stomp on the rocks with his hooves. It broke parts of the rubble and freed the Deerling's leg a little. Maybe enough to fully set it free.

Aso ran searching for something that can hold water to out the fire, she searched frantically everywhere for one.

"Only Pokémon with water on their side are cowards if they don't help out with this predicament!" Pollux said, and started going away. "Unless you want to help out and be burned alive because you can't douse fire, don't ask me for help!" They ran towards the forest, and saw a large lake. Perhaps anybody over there will help the Pokémon trying to put out said fire.

▀▀▀▀Jin glared as the duosion left, pawing the ground. He shook his head, trying to douse his annoyance, then padded off.
Jin circled around the house, scanning the panicking pokémon surrounding. A flock of Starly were huddled together with wide eyes. Jin decided to approach them.
▀▀▀▀"Any of you hurt?" Jin asked maybe a bit too roughly, because the group of Starlys just cawed and flew away.

▀▀▀▀Cadenza searched through the burning house, following her teamates. She navigated around fallen debris, black smoke and burning flames.
▀▀▀▀Her eyes widened when she saw the Deerling. It's eyes were wide and terrified moons, and it's breathing rapid gasps. The Deerling didn't attempt to move even after Nio stomped away most of the rubble.
▀▀▀▀"Can you stand?" Cadenza asked, trying to sound as calm as possible to not further scare the already tramatized Pokémon. The Deerling just answered with a terrified bleat.

Candlewick awoke first, tiny embers flickering around her in the area she claimed as her bed. The smell of acrid smoke hung heavily in the air. Burnt grass crunched beneath her body and left black soot on her downy feathers as she stretched and forced herself to her feet, eager to wake up Claude. She fetched her bandana and Rescue Team Badge from Team Firecracker's treasure bag and slipped the bandana around her neck, fastened the badge to the fabric and trying to wake up her friend.

Claude, however, was asleep in a tree overhead-- his bandana hung neatly on a tree branch. Candlewick, obviously, lacked the ability to fly or climb the tree, so she simply shot a light blast of fire up at her partner. He jumped in shock, swiftly grabbing ahold of his bandana before toppling to the ashen ground below.

"Jeez, do you have to do that every time you wake up before me?" Claude asked scornfully, brushing the soot off his body.

"Yep! We need to be ready to rescue some Pokémon!" Candlewick beamed, "Mystery Dungeons are dangerous. We can't just wait until the middle of the day to go! We have to go to them early in the morning, so all the rogue Pokémon are still asleep!"

Claude rubbed the back of his head, still injured from the fall. "Why are all the Pokémon so aggressive lately, anyway? You seem a little wilder than usual, too," He pondered, "Is it because of all the issues going on lately with the flow of time?"

"Time?" Candlewick asked, confused. "As in hours and minutes?"

"Yes. Apparently, the Time Gears, which control the flow of time, are being tampered with. That's why the Pokémon in Mystery Dungeons are so agitated," Said Claude, "Or so I've heard."

"Whatever," Candlewick shrugged, flakes of ash flying off her feathers, "Let's just get to work already."

A ducklett slowly approached Pollux.
"I'll try to help... I want to do something useful for once."

Pollux looked at the rest. "Anybody else wants to help?"

▀▀▀▀Cadenza wrapped her arms carefully around the small Deerling's shoulders, pulling upward. She heaved the Deerling upwards, trying to free it---her---from the remaining rubble.
▀▀▀▀"Alex? Can you help me put her on Nio's back?" Cadenza huffed.
▀▀▀▀A loud creaking sound echoed across the whole building. Cadenza glanced upwards, worried that the ceiling would collapse from the flames.

▀▀▀▀An Audino was standing a good distance from the building, staring at it with wide eyes. As soon as Jin tried to approach her, she broke into tears.
▀▀▀▀"What?!" Jin asked, his ears shooting up.
▀▀▀▀"M-my sister owns this shop!" The Audino sobbed, clutching her ears.
