Meadow arrived last at the scene. As everything was explained to her, she noticed some of the herbs she had been searching for that were crushed in the struggle. With disdain, she gathered them and handed them to Oak.

While Meadow patrolled around, collecting herbs as she went, she saw glimpses of something in the brush. First a streak of orange, then a pair of yellow eyes. Meadow would not be the one to attack first, so she waited to see what it would do.

slash woke to see blood practilly pooled around her but shook it off, limping into the woods she saw meadow staring at a bush and slash occasionily saw a quick flashof orange "not again!" said slash

Without warning, something emerged from the shadows. It was a fox. Probably the same one that attacked Slash. It acted curiously, but not attacking. It was probably thinking "Look at this enormous wolf with a tiny fox cub at her heels." Just as Meadow was about to introduce herself, the fox snatched Oak and scurried away!

Maple saw and followed the fox while downwind

Meadow stayed and screamed for Oak. She would not follow the fox, what would she do if she caught up? She wouldn't fight, so she was useless.

Meanwhile, Oak was screaming "Mama, Mama" to no avail. The fox was reaching a mountain now, and soon slipped into a den at the foot of it.

Maple Ran two where the fox had gone in the den and yelled "why did you take oak!? why!?" then ran in to snatch oak up herself

Meadow realised there was no stopping Slash so started chasing Slash and Maple.

slash collapsed half way there panting and lying in her own pool of blood. "i need a nap" murmured slash falling asleep once again

Maple snarled at the fox and picked up oak running out of the den before the fox could do anything and ran to meadow

Meadow stopped to tend to Slash, moving her into a more comfortable position before continuing.

slash woke up again with a jolt her breating was hoarse but she got up to try and sniff out oak and maple probally scaring meadow half to death

Maple reached them with oak and dropped him looked behind to make sure the fox wasn't following

Meadow rushed to Oak and smothered him. She then turned to look at Slash. "Maple, lend me a paw and help me get Slash back home."

Oak utters an assuring squeak and licks Slash's nose.

Meadow helps Maple carry Slash while Oak trails behind giving encouraging yips.

"Lucky for you, I was collecting herbs all day, so you'll make a full recovery."
