I'm wondering how the thief shop works and how you gets eggs from it?
I looked in the player guide and found no mention of it so I came here
can you help explain this, especially as I never see the thief shop "open"

The Thief Shop is actually always open. It restocks randomly, and you can purchase mystery eggs with ec. However, the shop has an extremely rare chance of producing a creature. Most of the time they are fakes, and only some of those fakes have around 30%-50% refunds of your ec. So technically, it's a little gamble 😋

from the things i have heard (I have never gotten an egg from the theif shop personally) is looks like it is extremely rare to get a real egg from the theif shop, and it is also rare to even see an egg at the theif shop (real or fake) also, i think other players can buy the egg before you can. Hope this helps!
