{Introduction}

The Coleson College for the Magically Inclined, or Coleson College, has been a refuge for magical users living among the Shattered Isles. After the disastrous Fall of Wyvernhallow, a small group of surviving magic users fled to a small island just off the coast from Idris. There they created a school for all who practice magic to use to be safe while developing their abilities.

Coleson College, despite being open to magic users, does still hold a few strict rules about joining. Specifically that each initiate willing to join must perform a specific feat of magic and go through the Initiates Course, a specifically designed maze to find the branch of magic each initiate would excel at. Despite being organized by strengths though, each student is given education in every magical class.

{A Brief Overview of the Magic Branches}

Elemental The elemental branch of magic focuses on the magic of the elements. Its students learn a variety of spells that utilize the properties of the elements to create such objects as fireballs, streams of ice, bolts of electricity and other such magics.

Mental The mental branch focuses on the magic of mental capabilities. Its students learn a variety of spells that utilize the properties of the mind to create spells such as telekinesis, truth seeking, mental projection and other such magics.

Hermetic The hermetic branch focuses on the magic of the arcane realms. Its students learn a variety of spells that utilize the arcane realm to summon beasts, conjure up weapons, give life to inanimate objects and other such magics.

{Structure of Coleson College}

Coleson College is built in the form or a large triangle. For the most part it has large walls, with an inner exposed courtyard. The entrance for the school sits in the middle of two towers, facing a path leading down to a small farm yard where the food for Coleson College is gathered. This door leads into the main hall, which in turn branches out to the courtyard, the classrooms, and feast hall. From the feast hall access is give to the court yard, main hall, familiar pens, and to the student lodging. From the Student lodging passage is given to the familiar pens, court yard and classrooms. From the court yard access is given to nearly every room in the school, including the basement.
The student lodging building is located in the tower directly opposite of the main entrance. It is composed of seven floors, with a common room on the bottom. Each floor aside from the common room holds two separate bedrooms, each holding access to three beds, per room and a bathroom fit for each occupant.
The court yard is a very large open yard in the middle of the school that is magically charmed to be larger outside than the view would allow. It houses a small pond, and many trees for students to study upon. Near the far corner away from the front entrance sits the familiar pens, which are only used prior to the new students earning a familiar. After familiars are chosen the pens are converted into an outdoor class room for Familiar Study classes.
The feast hall has a large room for eating, which is mainly floored by large tables. Behind the feast hall, away from student access is the kitchens.
The classrooms are home to the learning rooms, which much like every other room in the college are magically charmed to be larger than first glance. There are seven rooms in all, each on the first three floors. Two others are used for teacher lodging, with the top being used for the Head Mistress, and the Infirmary. Quick access is given to the Infirmary from every room in the College, through quick access portals.
The basement is rarely ever used in the College as such it is used only for storage.

Drake Tongue: A very rare trait to possess, these students are able to speak to reptiles, dragons, drakes, wyrms and other such creatures, and speak in the dragon tongue. This excludes all normal fauna.
Body Morphing: A trait that allows the given to change their looks upon will.
Seer: A trait that gives the given the ability to see into the future, past and at other points in the present.

{Rules}

- No perfect characters, or characters flawed to the point of having no good points. No Sues.
- No controlling other's characters, no being able to harm others' characters without the other user reacting or having characters that know everything about everything. No power playing or god-modding
- Please be literate when posting, I just need proper capitalization and grammar.
- Try to get at least a paragraph in when posting, making sure that isn't just dialogue. Give actions for your characters as well.
- Clothing is left out, as stated above all students will be given robes adhering to the college standards
- If a trait is marked as very rare, typically only one student has it. As such I will only accept two characters with that trait. As there is only one rare trait this shouldn't be an issue.
- A maximum of two students, and please keep genders even. You can make one staff member, but only if you have one student prior to staff creation.
- All staff will be NPCs, the exception being the Headmistress, Nurse, and Head of the Branches, all of which can be created except Headmistress.
- The technology is as advanced as crossbows. No guns, phones, or electricity.
- Please abide by the EggCave sight rules.
- Please keep drama to a minimum
- Everything on the form is required except the other section. That is for any extra information you want to give your character that couldn't be fit into any of the given sections. If you opt out of giving your character a trait simply state "None" in the trait section.
- All characters would be just entering Coleson College, and so there will be the Initiate's Trial performed.
- Despite being called a "college" it fits the span of ages 16-23, so have ages in that area
- No relationships beyond friendship
- If I have to ask you to fix your form(s) over three times you won't be accepted.
- Break any of these rules more than twice and you'll be cut
