"I... I'm sorry," was all Van could say. He didn't mean to upset Reil. The teen fidgeted with his flannel, a little uncomfortable. He, himself, wasn't sure what exactly Reil was talking about, but he often wondered the same thing. Why? Vander felt a bit selfish though, because there were times he wished his parents had never kept him. They weren't exactly... kind to him. That was the only thing Vander had never told Atticus.
