Quarcan
Pronunciation: Quartz + Toucan
Concept Art:
http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o601/b_r0s/Toucan.jpg
Egg Description:
Absorbing the minerals from volcanic sediment to grow while being exposed to extremely high pressure and heat, Quarcan eggs are often mistaken for geodes and taken home to be put on display.
Creature Description:
Quarcan heavily rely on enriched soil to grow and remain healthy, so they prefer to reside in regions that are unpopulated. Their feathers are composed of the minerals they absorb for their environment. A Quarcan who has been taken out of it's preferred habitat will quickly develop a mineral deficiency - becoming sluggish and lackluster in appearance. The more diverse a Quarcan's diet, the more vibrantly it will sparkle - rivaling the brilliance of the almost every stone.
