(Bird) Creature suggestion Cottingo

Egg: This egg smells of candy floss. Looks almost great to eat but the top part of the egg is made out of sticky whispy feathers. This is used to capture small prey that will get stuck in it's spider web like feathers. Once the Cottingo hatches it will eat it's shell for nutrition since the parents abandon it once born.
Remember to only hold the bottom of the egg to prevent getting your hand sticky.


Hatched: According to the SAR center the scent of the Cottingo is created through chemical component within it's body, this is used to attract mates along with food. The feathers of the Cottingo are not edible and may have inspired what is now known as cottoncandy.
