What is a STAR creature?

I was looking through the trades and I saw an egg that had a gold star in the top right corner. It's name is Pundustar the STAR Punbundu. What does the STAR in it's name and the gold star mean?

STAR creatures are very rare to get from the Egg Cave. But now you can also buy the star in the Cash Shop for a creature so STAR creatures are not as rare anymore. It's just a little decoration pretty much.
