How to Create a Roleplay

Before I post a roleplay (yes, I am one of those people that will do literally anything to roleplay) I was wondering what HAPPENS when you post a roleplay idea, and how do you start roleplaying? Any answers would be great! Just my main questions are: How do people "sign up" and how do you START roleplaying?

Normally there is a sign up/discussion topic for the RP where the idea is explained and people put up their character forms so they can be accepted. It's up to the person who has started the topic to look through everyone's character forms and tell everyone if there is something they should edit. The actual RPing is usually done in a separate topic and it simply starts when the person in charge creates the first post and pings everyone to let them know the RP is starting.

It does happen sometimes that someone creates a sign up topic and people post their character forms but the RP never starts because the owner forgets about it or loses interest.

Okay. Thanks. Helped me and my friend a lot! We're both really into roleplaying, and we do it almost everywhere, it was hard to think that we couldn't do it on one of our new favorite games.
