Bug causing emoticons to not display properly

I haven't tested this on anything but messages, but at the very least, it does happen in messages.
Edit: Tried putting an emoticon at the start of this post, and it appears to be the same way on forum posts as well.

If the first line of your post starts with an emoticon with nothing before it, it will just appear as plain text. If you put anything before it, even just a space, it will show up with the image of the emoticon properly.

If it's the start of anything but the 1st line, it will appear as:
="" src="https://static.eggcave.com/icons/emoticon_wink.png" class="vam">

This only happens if it's the start of the line with no other characters before it.
