MistClan {Sign-Up Thread}

MistClan dwells inside of a hollow just off from the base of a decently large waterfall. Close enough to have the camp entrance covered in a heavy mist to ward away intruders, but far enough to prevent any splashing from the water during fair weather. The Clan itself is situated in something akin to a small gorge, with a path leading up from the camp up to the river that feeds the waterfall. Up on this area, sits a large forest which comprises most of the Clan territory. A small portion of the territory extends down to where an inlet develops near the bottom of the river, although that is primarily used for water gathering, and to relax near. Just outside of the borders of the Clan sits the Silver Birch, a petrified tree bleached completely white after being struck by lightning, with a small spring bubbling up from underneath the roots allowing for a small pool. This tree serves as a form of communication with their ancestors for the Clan.

The camp is decently constructed, with large stone walls that encompass it, the only way to get in is by the waterfall path, or up from the inlet, and the only way down to the inlet is from the Clan’s camp. Each den is woven with reeds and brambles from the nearby forest and river.


Yes there will be a prophecy. I am specifically looking for three cats, two toms and a she-cat. So please keep this much in mind. If you want a character to be seriously looked over to see if they might make it beforehand, put a little thing in the other section after the necessary stuff.

I’ll put more on the prophecy around the time it begins, so please be on the lookout for that. There will be specific conditions for prophecy cats, and if you were in the original MistClan you might have a general idea as to what I mean by that.

MistClan quite literally exists in a world where humans no longer exist. Their world is heavily seeped in what we consider fantasy, and somewhere along the line humans died out. Basically meaning no mentions of twolegs, or humans, or towns, or cities, or anything along those lines.

MistClan lives pretty far from other Clans, so it is advisable that you don’t make cats from other Clans unless they were older than 15 moons at the point they reached MistClan.

-Respect all cats regardless of their origins or parentage
-You may have friends outside the Clan borders, but you are to remain loyal to your Clan first and foremost
-Apprentices cannot eat until they have fulfilled their duties for the day, the only exception is for an ill apprentice.
-Queens, kits, elders, and ill cats are to be fed first among the Clan, and they should not be denied prey for any reason.
-A deputy cannot be named unless they have mentored at least one apprentice in their life
-Newly named warriors are to sit a full days vigil, from sunhigh to sunhigh, once they receive their name
-Refresh the borders every dawn and dusk. Any unusual scents are to be immediately reported to the leader and deputy.
-No cat is to bring harm to a medicine cat or medicine cat apprentice for any reason. Doing so is punishable by exile, or even death. This stands regardless of what the medicine cat has done.
-Care for every kit, outsider or not, as if they are your own. Kits are the next generation, and harming them will result in exile.
-Question any cat caught near the border, if they mean no harm let them be, but if they pose a threat chase them off. If the cat seeks to join the Clan bring them before the leader.
-All decisions must be made by the medicine cats, council, deputy, and leader together. Unless circumstances are dire, the leader cannot make large decisions without consulting the trusted cats of his Clan.
-The Leaders Word is law

-It is preferred that Medicine Cats are from the Clan as Clan cats tend to have stronger connections to StarClan. And also because, while MistClan is open to outsiders, they tend to see Medicine Cats as spiritual leaders, so a Clan cat would have the most sway at that aspect.
-Leaders council is basically two cats that the leader will speak with, alongside the deputy and medicine cat(s) to make big decisions involving the Clan. Leader’s Council serve as a High Position, but do not have benefits outside of meetings with the Leader.
-A maximum of two High Positions per person.
-No unusual or unnatural coat colors, no purple or green cats, or neon yellow or that kind of stuff. Eye color is fine to be colorful with, but don’t go overboard.
-No sue's, powerplaying or god-modding
-Ask me before you go adding in large plot lines, or prophecies that would play a major role in the RP, small things are perfectly fine, but avoid doing too much
-Try and keep things realistic, you can’t have a cat living on their own if they’re under four moons, and you can’t have a kit under four moons living without their mother or a foster mother
-Try and have decent spelling, and put up two or more sentences per post
-If I have to ask you to fix your form more than two times on the exact same thing, that particular form will be ignored
-Don’t go longer than around 10 posts between you and someone else without anyone else interacting, or just doing something. So basically if there’s only two people active and posting, including yourself, don’t get more than ten posts with just you two. Wait for someone else to post or something.
-If you've read and understood the rules, and can’t think of a song use a quote that your character might say, or that represents your character
-If you only have two characters, it is advised you don’t make them mates or reciprocated crushes. You can still do this, but it is preferred you make at least one other character if you do
-Please don’t use obsessive caps or punctuation, I get anxiety easily and this makes it worse
-Keep everything forum appropriate, and please abide by the site rules.
-Try and make at least two characters to start, to keep numbers up please.
-I’d say cap your characters at around, 8 or 10 at the most. Yes a large Clan is good, but you want to be able to still control your characters evenly.
-Unless it is marked with an asterisk(*) you need to include everything in the form.
-No making Kittypets or cats from other Clans, without valid reason. For reasoning as to why not to make these, see the Important Notes tab.
-If you so desire, you are welcome to make characters that are related to my own characters so long as you ask ahead of time.
-Very mild powers unless you are part of the plot
-Don’t make everything about your characters, or involve your characters in things that they aren’t a part of. So basically if you weren’t part of the prophecy, please don’t attempt to have your character become involved in it unless there’s a super valid reason(like one of the prophecy cats brought them along or something)
-If you've read and understood all the rules please include a theme song for your characters in the other section.

Looks: Blazestar is very bulky, broad shouldered, and large. He has a thick bright ginger tabby pelt, with white legs, tail tip, locket, and nose blaze. His eyes are green, and the left has a slice of amber in it. He has a few scars, the most noticeable being a large scar stretching across his neck. His left ear is deeply nicked as well, almost looking split down the middle.

Past: Blazestar was born to the former deputy Swiftfeather, and the former loner Quicksilver. He was praised by his father, Swiftfeather at a young age, and Blazekit grew close to his father. His mother was always encouraging him, and even when he was an apprentice Blazepaw was loved by both his parents. It was only around when his mother had a litter with a rogue that things began to grow tense among the family. Blazestar and Swiftfeather turned away from Quicksilver, angered that she betrayed them, and Blazestar was pushed to his limits. Swiftfeather passed not too long after Viperfrost became a warrior and Blazestar was appointed deputy. During his run as deputy, Blazestar effectively took over as leader. Graypelt, the former leader, had fallen heavily ill and so Blazestar took over. During this time Scarleap was killed while on patrol. The only witness being Viperfrost, with little options, and with Viperfrost having killed her own full brother when they were apprentices, Blazestar was forced to exile Viperfrost lest he endanger his own Clan. A moon later Graypelt officially retired taking on his warrior name and leaving Blazestar to become leader.
Personality: Arrogant but caring. Blazestar is a bit dense and he sometimes can be very set in his choices, but he does try to be good. He can often be blinded by emotion and he isn't always the most rational cat, but his love for his Clan tends to overpower this.

Looks: A very large and thick furred, gray she-cat. Wolfwind has very faint sepia points, and so has a slightly darker face, legs, and tail. She has orange eyes. Wolfwind is around, in total, 18 pounds, and 13 inches tall.

Past: Wolfwind was born to a mother and father who were probably too old to have kits. She had grown up close to her brother, Silentfall as the two were Ashstrike’s last litter, as the older she-cat passed a moon after the two became apprentices. After a point Silentfall grew close to Rippleflower, and he started to drift away from Wolfwind. Shortly after they became warriors Silentfall left the Clan after Rippleflower was killed by a fox. Wolfwind has forced herself to go about on her own, although she is still hurt by her brothers choice.
Personality: Wolfwind is very kind and caring, she’s very gentle and sweet. Wolfwind is a very generous cat, and she often goes out of her way to make sure her Clanmates are doing fine.

Looks: Silentfall is a rather bulky looking chocolate lynx tom with sepia points, meaning he has slightly darker lynx points. He has turquoise eyes, and really long fur.

Past: Born to parents who were arguably too old to be bearing kits at the time, Silentfall and his half-sister Wolfwind were Ashstrike’s final litter. He grew up close to his sister, but eventually they drifted apart when Silentfall fell for their fellow apprentice, Rippleflower. Shortly after they became warriors, Rippleflower was killed by a fox. As a result Silentfall started to grow distant and detached, alienating himself from most of his Clanmates. Eventually he left the Clan and moved to live on his own.
Personality: Silentfall is very reserved and distant, he tends to be rather quiet and to himself. He has a very negative attitude towards most things, and is very harsh.

Past: Brambleheart was a good warrior, he was well loved by his friends and he had quite a few, namely the senior warriors who his parents often had him interact with, he would often leave his brother behind in favor of learning the secrets of his Clanmates. He grew close to a fellow younger warrior, Firebird, and the two were very good friends. After they were sure they could handle it they had a litter of three kits. Featherpaw, Quillpaw, and Heronpaw. The two fell in love with Heronpaw, a young tom who was already much larger than his sisters a few moons after birth. Brambleheart and Firebird gradually shut out Featherpaw and Quillpaw, and only turned back towards their kits after Heronpaw vanished, but by then the damage was done and their daughters despised them and the two would often linger near their uncle, whose mate actually cared for the two kits before her own untimely death. The hatred that Featherpaw and Quillpaw carried so far that Firebird eventually attempted to kill her kits since she felt that if they didn’t love her they didn’t love the Clan. Firebird was caught by Brackenwhisker who died fighting Firebird away from his kin.
Personality: Brambleheart is arrogant and ambitious, he strives to do the absolute best he can and he always tries to one-up nearly everyone he can. He often would neglect those he found beneath him, and he even rejected two of his kits, deciding that he preferred strength over anything else.

Name: Viperfrost

Gender: She-cat
Looks: Viperfrost is a brown masked silver she-cat, meaning her body is silver, while her head, legs, and tail are all brown. Her left eye is ice-blue, and the right is a dark green, almost black. She has a number of scars, specifically one running from the lip on her left side of her mouth up to her cheek, and one set of three across her right eye. She is missing chunks from her ears, and has a large scar across her chest.

Past: Viperfrost was born to the Clan to a Clan cat and a rogue, her mother had originally had a litter with the deputy at the time, and so Viperfrost’s father came as a shock to all the Clan. She grew up hated by Blazestar, and was helpless to deny that fact. At one point during training she killed her brother Canarypaw, as the tom was very frail and weak and their mentors continued to force Viperfrost to use more and more force to get him to fight back. Most of her scars are from her mentor when she would refuse to harm her brother. After Canarypaw’s death, Quicksilver introduced Viperfrost to her father, and she found solace in being able to talk with him. Often she would sneak out at night to meet him. When she was 11 moons, her parents left her, QUicksilver fed up with how the Clan had treated her, and Pinecone worried that one of Swiftfeather’s friends might come after him. Shortly after she became a warrior she befriended Scarleap, a former loner who joined MistClan. They were both given apprentices, Heronpaw to Viperfrost, and Featherpaw to Scarleap. While on a border patrol, a rogue attacked Scarleap killing him, and stealing Heronpaw. Viperfrost was unable to save her friend and with no evidence of a rogue actually killing Scarleap, Viperfrost was exiled. She moved on to live in her father’s old home, and she tends to avoid the Clan, offering slight help whenever possible. Even five moons after her exile, Viperfrost prefers to aid the Clan however she can.
Personality: Viperfrost is very indifferent and reserved. Aloof and watchful, she tends to observe situations before she cats, although she does have a temper. She doesn't try to be rude, although her guarded attitude mixed with her sharp tongue tend to have her come off as an aggressive cat.
Anything Special*: She is able to walk silently, even without trying to, and she tends to be able to slip from other’s vision. They can still see her, but Viperfrost tends to be hard to focus on, much like when there’s dust in the corner of your eye.

Past: Born to parents who preferred their son over their two daughters, Featherpaw grew up being raised by her Uncle’s mate, Silverflower, who eventually died during birth. Featherpaw and Quillpaw grew to love their uncle, seeing him as their own father with how much he cared for them unlike Brambleheart. Featherpaw was originally a warrior apprentice, and she was apprenticed to the recently deceased Scarleap. During a patrol with her brother, Heronpaw, Scarleap and Viperfrost, a rogue attacked, and Featherpaw and she was forced to flee. During the attack, Scarleap was killed, and Heronpaw vanished, and Viperfrost was blamed. Featherpaw was left unable to defend Viperfrost, and she shortly after became a medicine cat apprentice. After her brother’s dissapearance her parents continued to try and become the parents they never were for the two siblings, and Featherpaw and Quillpaw were forced to reject their parents, favoring Brackenwhisker. Firebird eventually tried to kill Featherpaw and Quillpaw, but before she could harm her daughters, Brackenwhisker fought her off, and both died in the process.
Personality: Featherpaw is a very quiet and soft spoken she-cat, she keeps to herself mostly and is a quick learner. Featherpaw rarely talks, and she tends to be very jumpy and skittish around large groups. She wants to be a good cat, and she wants to be someone that her Clan respects, but she fears that she will not be good enough.
Anything Special*: Featherpaw primarily speaks only to her mentor(s), sister, and occasionally to her patients. She mostly just stays silent, and her voice is very hard to hear when she does speak. She also is able to see and interact with the spirits of StarClan cats that occasionally visit the camp.

Looks: Graypelt is, as expected, a gray tabby tom with long fur. He is very old, and as a result most of his stripes have faded and he looks almost solid gray. He has pale green eyes, which are starting to go blind with age.

Past: Graypelt is very long lived, he survived a severe plague that swept through the Clan almost 140 moons ago, and was chosen by StarClan to lead the Clan after both the leader and deputy at the time were killed by the disease. He poured himself into his work, constantly making sure he was doing the right things, and when he felt that he wasn’t representing the Clan enough, he created a council consisting of two senior warriors, his deputy, and the medicine cats. He gradually grew older, losing one life every so often. When he named Blazestar his deputy, Graypelt was already very old and he mostly had Blazestar lead. Graypelt eventually retired, too old to properly lead and on his last life, he took on his warrior name, and allowed Blazestar to become leader.
Personality: Graypelt is very wise and kind, a gentle cat who is full of stories and things to tell the younger cats. He is sweet, and has endless patience, often waiting a while for the younger cats to tell their own stories, which he always finds he absolutely adores.
Anything Special*: Is Graypelt immortal? Short answer, no. Long answer, technically yes, because his character will always be mentioned or used in nearly everything I use. He’s based off of my recently deceased 21 year old cat, and Graypelt(And other cats that I make matching his description and past), are all going to be included in my RPs if possible. So while the characters can still pass and leave the RP’s world, there will always be a kind and gentle gray cat. Because how better to honor a cat that has been in your life since before you were even born?
Other*: I am older now, than I wish I was.

Looks: A very small black bicolor cat, Quillpaw has a primarily white face, legs, chest, and belly, with a black lower jaw, nose blaze, and helmet, on her legs the masking is broken and she has black dappled white legs. Quillpaw has rounded ears, and yellow eyes. She’s maybe at most like 4.5 pounds, and around six inches tall.

Past: Quillpaw was born to parents who favored their son over their two daughters, so she was raised by her uncle, Brackenwhisker, and his mate Silverflower. When Silverflower gave birth though, she ended up dying, and Brackenwhisker raised the two on his own. After Heronpaw vanished, Firebird attempted to come back into her daughters lives, much to the disgust of Featherpaw and Quillpaw. This eventually ended in Firebird attempting to kill the two sisters, with Brackenwhisker intervening and getting himself killed while killing Firebird.
Personality: Very quiet and shy, Quillpaw tends to go with the flow. She doesn’t really stand up for herself, and tends to allow herself to be pushed around. She has trust issues, and tends to struggle to make friends, always fearing the will turn on her. She is extremely insecure, and tends to look down upon herself.
Anything Special*: Quillpaw has very mild precognition, and her visions don’t always come true, nor are they often.

Looks: A bimetallic, or silver and gold, torotiseshell, their left side is primarily silver and the right is primarily gold. Adres has two different colored eyes, the left of which is copper flecked with silver, and the right of which is copper flecked with gold. On the back of their head is a small white patch of scar fur.

Past: Not much is known about Adres, they suffered a head injury recently and currently have memory loss.
Personality: Adres is a very calm and collected cat, they tend to act as a mediator to most situations. Very balanced in most aspects, Adres is generally a gentle cat but can change depending on certain situations.
Anything Special*: Can see auras hanging over living creatures, dead creatures, and creatures who are soon to die.
Other*: Everything seems to just blend together into one, time loses all meaning when you can’t remember how you got where you are, or where you’ve been.

Is going to sign up. Has problems with anxiety when roleplaying/signing up because knows I'll do everything wrong and on top of that is too tired to do anything properly. Exits tab accidentally while doing research for characters. CRAP yeah I'll sign-up later...

Looks: Leopardleap is a lean mix between a Cheetoh and an Ocicat. She has various spots adorning her body, everywhere except for her tail, and they circle around her muzzle and eyes. She has two stripes running down her body from the tip of her muzzle to the tip of her tail. She also has deep blue eyes and various scars coating her pelt.

Would you be fine with Leopardleap serving as a Council member as well as a Queen? Or would you prefer she become deputy once her kits are apprenticed?

Past: Marigoldfall was named after her aunt, who never lived to become an warrior. Her parents wanted her to be a warrior, so it became a big shock for them when she chose the path of a medicine cat. Deep down they knew that she had always been interested in herbs, and never took notice when they tried to teach her a simple fighting move. Her parents had tried to persuade her a moon before her ceremony, but her mind was made up. They gave up and let her have her way. Then, Marigoldfall ignored her parents, for they always ask to her if she wanted to change duties. Eventually, she avoided them like a plague until they were killed on the same border patrol by a male badger. Since then, she hold a bit of regret whenever her parents' names are mentioned.
Personality: Marigoldfall is gentle and compassionate, but she hold grudges too easily. She can be stubborn and snappish sometimes, a habit that stuck since she was always bothered by her parents whenever they had the time to about changing duties. Marigoldfall is pretty sarcastic, but that is a trait she rarely shows. Other than that, she is wise and clever.

A lot of tension and hatred grew between the pair, most of it when Bonepaw had been made Darkclaw's apprentice. Bonepaw ended up training in the dark forest with a cat named Moonfall because his father would not give him proper training. She convinced Bonepaw to murder his father. It was easy to not be caught as the clan assumed Darkclaw had just run away from the clan, being to depressed after the death of his mate. He still visits Moonfall even as a warrior, as she is like a mother figure to him.
Personality: Bonepaw has grown to be a defensive, arrogant, and aggressive warrior who always seems on edge about something. He does not trust his clanmates and dislikes some of them for doing nothing about his fathers rejection. However, he has a very soft spot for kits and can seem like an entirely different cat around them.

Without his parents holding him back anymore, he was considered and very wild older apprentice/young warrior. He acted very reckless during this time. However, one day while he was racing in treetops with a few apprentices, the apprentice fell out of the tree and dislocated their shoulder, and the apprentice screams had attracted a fox. Cardinalfrost and the other apprentices were able to fight off the fox, but Cardinalfrost knew that his reckless behavior was starting to put others in danger. He learned from his mistakes and became more serious about being a warrior, and gained respect for learning from his mistakes.
