Fate is a fickle thing, for generations SandClan has lived relatively free from the harsh motives of fate. The Clan rarely receives prophecies and for the most part the only time LightClan has communed with SandClan is when leaders receive their nine lives. But when the medicine cat, Aukletgaze receives a prophecy a few days before the death of the leader Corallight SandClan's peace becomes threatened.


SandClan lives on a beach, or close to one. Their camp is inside a cliff face, out of the reach of the water, and the camp opens up into looking out towards a large swath of sand, with the water around 60 feet from the camp entrance, and around 3 feet below. The Clan’s cave sits at a slope which runs down to the water, and a few boulders are spotted around it to help offer protection from the sun.

The territory spans from the cliff face to the water's edge, and from cliff face to cliff face, as the Clan sits in a large bowl almost, surrounded on most ends by cliff faces which span around 15 feet up in the air. On the tops of the cliffs are what the Clan cats call the Plateau, a section of territory primarily held by rouges, with a small area, five feet from the cliff face dedicated to the Clan territory. A small path runs up from the camp, to the top of the Plateau which ends in a small patch of forest, this is the farthest border for the Clan, and holds a single den built to house at most five cats. The primary marker of the border is a small stream which runs for a very small portion of the way, before vanishing underground. On the Plateau, within the Clans’ borders sits the Star Pool, a small spring, which bubbles up from the ground into a basin amongst an outcropping of rocks. The Star Pool is lit from within by numerous glittering stones, and serves as the Clans way to commune with LightClan.

Inside the camp, there are a grand total of three smaller caves branching off. One much larger cavern, which opens directly into the main cave, a wall is woven in between two sides of this, one of which serves as an herb store and sleeping spot the the medicine cats, and the other which serves to house any cat needing medical attention. The patient side can host around, 8 cats at a time. Close to the main camp entrance sits another den, which opens directly into the camp, and here the queens and kits sleep. With numerous nests, it can hold at least 5 queens alone. Near the medicine area is the final cave, which holds the elders den, in a fashion similar to the other smaller areas, this one opens directly onto the camp. In between the nursery and the medicine den, are two woven nests resting against the walls, with stones holding it in place. These two dens are the warriors den and the apprentices den, side by side. The leader sleeps in the open of the camp, or with the warriors. Around four tail lengths above the floor, next to the camp entrance sits a large alcove, it is here that the leader holds meetings, and the deputy organizes patrols.

On the beach itself there is a small area of pools formed through an inlet of the water, no waves crash here for the most part and various animals swim and fly around, it is here that the Clan primarily hunts, although on calm days the cats have been known to swim in the water and catch prey that way. Though entering the water is dangerous.

A retired medicine cat, or an elder who was once the medicine cat, is required before the RP can begin. This is a vital part of the RP’s plot.

The plot begins on the day Steamlight returns from the Star Pool, so please keep that in mind when filling out forms.

SandClan names all their cats with things relating to the ocean, water, the nature around the ocean, and the life within the ocean. So it is common to have names such as Wave, Splash, Drip, Sea, Salt and such. So get creative. It is very uncommon to find names relating to things outside of ocean and water related imagery, so cats rarely are named Leaf, or Bark.

LightClan is SandClan’s version of StarClan, BogClan is SandClan’s version of the Dark Forest.

A week long patrol often goes up to the Plateau above the Clan to patrol the territory, refresh the scent marks, and to chat with the nearby outsiders. In total, six days are spent up there, with the patrol leaving at dawn of one day, spending the latter half of that day dismissing the previous patrol, gathering small amounts of prey and water, as well as arranging nests. The Clan cats on the Plateau will then leave when the next patrol dismisses them.


- No warrior may scorn a cat for living a life differently than the Clan
- You may have friends outside Clan borders, but your loyalty is to remain to the Clan first and foremost
- Prey is killed to be eaten, messing around with prey is not allowed
- Kits are not allowed outside of the camp's walls without an escort of at least two warriors
- A warrior must have either mentored at least one apprentice fully, or seen three season cycles, before being named deputy
- A new deputy must be chosen after the death, retirement, or promotion, if the previous deputy by moonhigh of that same day
- Apprentices are not allowed to eat until their chores or tasks for that day are fulfilled, or until the elders and queens have been fed
- Once a kit becomes five moons they begin their formal training
- Newly named warriors will sit a vigil for one full day, upon receiving their name
- Queen, kits, and elders are all to eat first of the Clan and should not be denied prey in favor of a warrior
- No cat is allowed to harm a medicine cat or kit for any reason, even if that kit is not of the Clan, or if the medicine cat has failed at their job
- Medicine cats are expressly forbidden from taking on a mate, unless they have a fully trained apprentice
- Borders are to be patrolled and refreshed daily
- The word of the leader is the law of the Clan, but only if it does not contradict the Code


- No sue’s, godmodding, or powerplaying
- No unnecessary drama, drama is fine. Just please don’t give us a ton, try to keep it in small doses. A similar goes for violence, although I’d try to tone that down to very mild things, such as stuff that would be around kids.
- Follow all the site rules, and please avoid romance rping. Yeah, the site rules say it, but I gotta restate.
- Please avoid typing in all caps or with excessive punctuation. Seriously, I’m liable to ignore you if you type in all caps or use more than two bits of punctuation in succession, save for ellipses...
- Your spelling and grammar doesn’t have to be 100%, mine won’t be perfect, all I ask is that you at least use decent grammar and spelling.
- It is preferred that you only have one high position(Deputy, retired medicine cat, medicine cat apprentice, leader), to free up chances for others to achieve those ranks. I hold two due to an important plot point, which should become obvious once having read the intro, prophecy, and important notes.
- Rogues and loners are fine to play as, but as stated above, kittypets and former kittypets are not allowed under any circumstances.
- If you have read and agree to the rules, state who your character’s parents are in the form, either in their past or in kin. This is necessary.
- Have realistic coats and such, it doesn’t have to be genetically possible. But I don’t want green cats, or neon pink cats.
- No unapproved plots, prophecies, or things of the like. Just ask me before you go on adding things.
- This won’t go for everyone, but if you want characters related to mine, go ahead and ask if that’s fine. I’m more than happy to increase my characters’ families and stuff.
- Feel free to include how big your character is in their description. I love imagining how tall, or how big a character is compared to another.
- Try and keep things relatively realistic for the Warrior’s Universe, so no cats living on their own before they’re 3 moons, no cats fighting off a badger alone and surviving.
- Mild powers are fine, so long as they’re like Yellowfang’s power, where she can feel pain, or like Goosefeather’s where he can see dead cats, or like a toned down version of Dovewing’s senses, or even like Firestar’s precognition. Each power needs to come with some form of a drawback, like how Yellowfang was easily overwhelmed by the pain of others, or how Firestar didn't always know when he was having visions/had them right when they happened.

Looks: A very large, cat of around 18 pounds and 15 inches tall, Steamlight is a black on dark gray spotted tabby. Her pelt is heavily scarred, namely in various spots across her shoulders, back, and legs. Her most notable ones are a thick bite mark along the side of her neck, and a large one running across her nose, up the bridge of her muzzle, and curving just over her right eye. Her eyes are gold, and her toes are white.

Past: Steamlight was born to Wavelight and Otterface, her father Wavelight kept Steamlight under acute observation noting how his only daughter at the time showed a proficient experience to be leader. When Steamkit was five moons, she was apprenticed to Mistheart and Wavelight. Her training was relatively harsh, her mentors insisting she sparred with warriors instead of other apprentices, and they pushed for her to fight with her claws out rather than safer with soft paws. As a result, Steampaw earned numerous scars from training, and was often wounded. When she was eight moons, three moons into her apprenticeship, Mistheart died, and Coralfur, a relatively young warrior and Mistheart’s nephew, became the next deputy. Her training lessened after Coralfur became deputy, although not by much. A moon after she became a warrior, she was given Splashpaw as her apprentice, and 6 moons into the training Wavelight lost his final life. Corallight was made leader, and Steamfrost was named deputy, and Splashpaw was made into a warrior, Splashhawk. During her time as deputy, Corallight grew close to Steamfrost, although she rarely returned his affections. It was only after greencough killed her mother, and his parents, that Steamfrost reluctantly accepted and became Corallight’s mate. A moon later Corallight died, and Steamlight became leader. During which she discovered she was pregnant, much to her own disgust. Throughout Springheart’s training, Steamlight would often force the time to check up on her sister, and ensure that the young cat was receiving the most normal life she could.
Personality: Steamlight is very distant and withdrawn, a result of her harsh training. She tends to be very understanding, although she is difficult to reach. Steamlight is caring, although she finds it hard to connect to others.
Anything Special*: She is an insomniac, or she rarely is able to fall asleep. Steamlight has a very acute sense of hearing, and she is able to manipulate this to an extent, limited to around thirty feet around her.

Looks: A black smoke tom with green eyes, he has a small patch around his ears where he does not grow fur, and a large clump of whiskers that stick together above his eyes. His pelt is relatively disheveled, and his tail is broken in the middle.

Past: Aukletgaze was born to Mossfoot and Eelclaw. He was raised alongside his brother Albatrosskit and their denmate, Seakit. Aukletpaw was trained as a warrior for a moon before he transferred to become a medicine cat at six moons after he broke his tail. He enjoyed his new position, and found himself at home amongst the herb trade and quickly excelled at his learning. Once he became a full fledged medicine cat, he grew more proficient, able to take on the brunt of the work. Two moons after he earned his full name, Aukletgaze watched as his parents died at his paws, an unknown illness killing them while he was unable to help. He felt horrible for his lack of ability to do anything, and he gradually dove deeper into his work, gradually becoming detached from the Clan and becoming something of an eccentric member of the Clan, often ranting about various things and growing very convinced that something terrible was about to befall the Clan. He was proved right both when greencough swept through the Clan a moon ago, killing numerous members he received a prophecy shortly before Corallight died.
Personality: Aukletgaze is a very withdrawn cat, he tends to be very anti-social and tends to get lost amongst his work. He rarely holds a conversation for very long before he becomes convinced he has seen a sign from LightClan, and he tends to be very touchy when it comes to cats he has lost during his role as a medicine cat.
Anything Special*: He only told one cat about the prophecy he received, and that was his brother Albatrossfeather.

For the most part she lived a very normal life, and that is something she continues to do even after her parents death in the recent greencough epidemic.
Personality: Very cheerful and friendly, Springheart is generally considered a joy to be around by those she is close to. She is very understanding and caring, and she is a very warm and welcoming cat. She is very sweet, and it takes a whole lot to get her angered.

Albatrossfeather was close to Seabird, foolishly believing that she was a very kind cat. Albatrossfeather and Seabird eventually became mates after they became warriors. During this time his parents, Mossfoot and Eelclaw, passed of an unknown disease. Shortly after him and Seabird had kits, with Seabird rejecting their daughter, and choosing to idolize their son. Albatrossfeather grew close to his daughter, helping her out and encouraging her to be better than her mother.
Personality: Albatrossfeather is very protective over his kin, specifically his brother and daughter. Albatrossfeather is kind and a bit defensive, often choosing to throw himself into battle to help his kin. He chooses to help those who need help, and often he would ignore certain things in order to help others. He always sees the good in others, even if that is not the proper choice.

Past: Seabird was born to the Clan, she was the daughter of a former deputy, and cousin to a former leader. She was always worming her way out of situations, and would often weasel her way away. Her father, Mistheart was saddened by Seabird’s preference to not get her paws dirty, and her mother Breezefoot was always reluctant to reprimand her daughter, causing Seabird to grow arrogant and undisciplined. Seabird kept this up, growing worse after her father died, and she became worse. Along the way she managed to become Albatrossfeather’s mate, making him believe she was nice.
Personality: Seabird is vain, and arrogant. She is very vain, and she tends to first see what is visually perfect with others, after which she makes her decisions. She favors beauty over all and is generally very rude. She hates doing hard work, and she often is able to con her way out of doing patrols and things similar.

Past: Skuapaw was neglected by her mother for the most part, and she was very weak growing up. Her father and uncle took over raising her when Seabird rejected the small kit, and she was nursed by Otterface. She was close to Springheart, viewing the older cat as a sister more than Ternpaw was her brother. Skuapaw was often hurt and mocked by her brother, who was only egged on by Seabird whenever she was alone with the two, and Skuapaw suffered greatly for it. It was only once she became an apprentice and was given to Steamlight that Skuapaw escaped the behavior of her sibling and mother.
Personality: Skuapaw is timid and reserved, although she is very self confident. She tries not to see herself in a poor light, and with the help of her mentor, father, and friends, she manages to keep this up. She is prone to having lapses in which she does fall into self deprecation, although for the most part she is very well maintained and believing in herself.
Anything Special*: Skuapaw has large scale emotional empathy and she tends to be overwhelmed by the emotions of those around her very fast.

Past: Born to Seabird and Albatrossfeather, Seabird favored him over her daughter and Ternpaw was often treated better than Skuapaw. Seabird would continually pamper Ternpaw and make him believe he was better than his sister and his mother encouraged Ternpaw’s bullying of his sister. Despite now being apprentices, and Skuapaw now able to stand up for herself more, Ternpaw does still pick on his sister, often egged on by his mother.
Personality: Ternpaw is rude, harsh, and cruel. He is ambitious and believes he is above all others, often putting himself on a pedestal. He sees nothing wrong with his actions, and he often believes others are wrong with they try to correct him on things he messes up with.

Personality: Arrogant and ambitious, Stormfang is often willing to do whatever he needs to to gain respect. He often believes that what he does is in the right, even if his own actions cannot be justified to the majority of the group. He’s a smooth talker, and so he often can just chat his way out of trouble. Even it it doesn’t make complete sense.
Anything Special*: He’s able to charm his way out of too poor of a situation.

Past: Born to Cloudberry and Mousepelt, she never got along much with her mother, as she didn't understand why her mother was always so lazy, and unloyal to her mate. Snowburn was close with her father until he died while she was an apprentice, he had just fell of a hill and his head hit a rock, and the force killed him. Snowburn always was upset that her father died in such a stupid way. Always has been very close to her sister, and after the death of her father, she has become slightly over protective of her sister.
Personality: Bossy, grumpy, does not like to be bossed around. Has a soft side for her sister, tougher around others. Smart.

Now that Snowburn is over protective of her, she sometimes goes out of her way to prove herself so she sister can she that Lavenderfur is not just her sister, but her own cat who can take care of herself, still, she also cares very deeply for her sister.
Personality: Flips between being shy and confident, although shes a bit unsure of herself. Still childish at heart, loves kits and wants her own some day. Likes relaxing but also finds a good hunt exciting, dislikes fighting.

She feels very lonely without Mousepelt, and yerns for a stronger relationship with her kits.
Personality: Huge flirt, lazy, seeks attention, likes to relax, wants to be perfect, very talkative, annoying, secretly depressed and lonely.

Past: Born to Bear and Grace, two rouges. When Grace wouldn't join Bear and his rouge group, he killed Grace in rage and took the kits to the rouge group. With the help of a cat named Midnight from the group, he and his sisters were able to escape, however, his brother Fox stayed. They were about 4 moons old at the time of escaping, and Moth died along the way. About after three days of traveling, the kits were found by a patrol and taken in, they were cared for by Mossmoth, who died during their apprenticeship. Redleaf would later die due to a badger attack. Waspclaw became a respectable warrior and worked hard to prove himself, and is very loyal to the clan that saved his life.
Personality: Lonely, a bit of a grump at time because he has a short temper. Very loyal, likes to be a rule follower, but also very ambitious. Kind.

He let the body float away in the ocean, and the rest of the clan assumed that Darkclaw had run away, not wanting to be a part of the clan since the loss of his mate. Currently very mad due to Waspclaw being picked deputy over him.
Personality: Cold, rude, does not like to be bossed, smart and cunning, silent type unless he wants to argue, which is a lot. Dangerously ambitious.

@icecloud101 She's your character so I would say, you might just want to name two random and dead or missing warriors as the parents. Kinda like how I did for Stormfang and Aukletgaze. It makes things a bit easier to remwmber.

Past: Stripedkit was born to Fishripple and Windwater seasons and seasons ago. He showed great promise as a warrior thanks to his physical prowess but there was something about fighting he just couldn’t stand and hunting was so repetitive to him. He looked up to the clan healer rather than the deputy or leader and wanted to learn to heal not hurt, when he said this the medicine saw something in him, a thoughtfulness not all that common and thus began his medicine apprenticeship. Stripedcoral worked tirelessly to his patients and would do everything thing he could and more to make they safe, happy and healthy. When Aukletgaze broke his tail Striptedcoral attempted everything he could think of to help mend his tail and when nothing could be done he gladly took the young tom under his wing and taught him all he knew. When Stripedcoral felt it was time to retire he could do so knowing they would be taken care of, even if he still worried about Aukletgaze sometimes.
