How do you get clicks for your creature?

Besides, the obvious, you click it, I want to know:
From where do you click it? Does the place from where you click it has to be specific? Like I feed my pareteorsite, and to feed it I click from my cove, and it just adds one to the "fed" section, not the clicks. I need Rocky to hatch! Please help me figure out how in the world do you click a pet so it actually adds points to "clicks?"

whenever somebody visits eggcave.com/click/#####

the creature with the ##### id will get a click. it doesnt matter where

hmn.. i used to use link exchange.. but it's so much more exciting when they hatch naturally 😸
