Well I sorta want to be an Athiest. Butttttttttttttttttttttt mai parents would probley not like it. So how do I tell them? I really REALLY want to be Athiest because I think 'God' is just a figmint of immagination. Sorry if I offened anyone by saying that its just mai oppinion.

I broke it to my dad when we were fighting.
It really upsets him.
He thinks its awful that I won't go to heaven because I don't believe in such a place.
As long as they don't MAKE you go to church, I wouldn't break it to them at all.

I am totally Christian and won't even think about going down that trail, Just tell them how you really feel, start out talking to one parent that understands you the most, But I can't understand how someone thinks God isn't really out there O.O
Who maid the earth? And how did people Form?

Im catholic so its hard to say.

But id say go with what you want to do, even if it means going against your parents.

I mean they are YOUR parents, but it is YOUR future..

As long as you are respectful to other religions and everything it's alright to believe, or not to believe in whatever you want.
I think Christianity is beautiful in it's own way and I have a few Christian friends with whom I am in very good relationship and we respect each-other. The atheist vs christians clash in only there cause both sides can get disrespectful.. Religion doesn't matter.. Not in friendship, not in love. I am sure your family will understand after a while. Just break it to them in some appropriate way and don't do it in heat of argue. Explain why you feel the way you do and what's your reasons of thinking so. It might come out to shock to them but like I said, after a while, I'm sure they'll understand and accept.

I'm Wiccan, but I had to break it to my parents since they [Well, one is still] Christian-Baptist. My mom was cool with it. [She's Wiccan also now] and my dad was okay, and likes to debate religion with me.

My mom converted with me, though she still refers to a lot of the Christian things [God instead of both Goddess and God, and Heaven instead of Summerland. I think she's a mix of Christian and Wiccan]

I think you should break it to your parents. Rather you be happy with yourself and disappoint them a little, than you be trapped in an unhappy shell.
