Same Names

I like just joined and I tried to name my egg but it kept saying "this name is already taken." Pets and people irl have the same name all the time. You should be able to have the same name for a creature as someone else, I think.

Sorry if this is already a topic, I searched but didn't see it.

There is a reason behind the unique names. I can't remember where or when I read it, but it has something to do with the coding of profiles. It is apparently a major undertaking to change that.

Names also have a value in the economy. You can buy and sell them, sometimes for CC which is real life money.

Personally, I find away around the situation. Often my names may seem like gibberish, but for the creatures I don't plan of eventually trading, I know the meaning they have to me.

I also find a way around it. If anything, underscores and dashes work.
