Creature Purposes, Levels, & Maturity

Hi everyone! I'm a new player who has a few questions. I recently learned your creatures have levels. When they reach a certain level (20) they can feed themselves and no longer die.

- Do stats play an important role other than evolving your pet?
~ Is the main purpose of the game just to collect cute animals?
- Can your creatures do anything when they mature?
~ What's the best (nonguilting) way to get rid of creatures you do not want?
- Are clicks simply clicking on a player's egg and viewing it?
~ Do the forums use the BBcode system for formatting?

~ Any helpful advice (guides) for a new player?

@celesticleo Hi there! Welcome! Yes, level 20 and above pets are known as 'immortal' pets.

-Stats immortalise your critter, maybe get them on the Leaderboards and evolve them.
~Well, yes I suppose. You can do anything you'd like with the game, like collect every single critter, give away every single critter. It's up to you.
~When they immortalise, they don't die like your mortals do. However, they don't 'do' anything like talk or play.
~Donate them to the adoption center. That way, you don't feel guilty, but you'll have to pay 4500 EC for each critter you donate.
~Yes. Clicking on the creature's page is considered a click.

~The Player Guides and FAQS are a really great source of information! You can also go digging through the Welcomes and Introductions forums for tips on how to play.
