Hi everyone! My name is Gabrielle, I'm 23, and I'm a vet student and animal lover.
I found this site on Chicken Smoothie (I'm spacecowboy on there if anyone wants to add me), and thought it seemed neat. 😊
I love music, reading, movies, and just about anything creative (I can knit, quilt, and make soap, and I love painting too).

What kind of soaps do you make?! I'm looking at getting into making wax melts, myself.

Hi, thank you! I'm really enjoying EggCave so far!! I agree with you, there's a lot more to do than on CS. It's nice that there's so many activities to choose from. 😊

I make skin friendly and earth friendly soaps! I started at 14 because my younger sibling had really terrible eczema and dry skin, and a lot of conventional soaps would make her skin worse. It started out mostly as an experiment, but these days it's really been my passion project! I'd love to make a business out of it someday.

Wax melts would be awesome! I know a couple people who make wax melts and candles, and do really well with that. I use them myself, and it's so fun to try new scents. ❤️

What's stopping you from kicking off your business? It sounds like you have a great foundation to sell some incredible products. My partner suffers from dry skin, too, so I'm constantly on the lookout for soaps for him. Just saying... 😋

Honestly, it's such fun getting to craft and create. It's the ultimate therapy, if you ask me.

Oh, that reminds me! If you're looking for some more eggs, I'd be happy to send you some creatures that I have going spare. I have a couple of monthlies that are living in my cove that would be happy to see a new home, if you're interested. No pressure either way, and no obligation to send me anything back, obviously! ❤️

Ahhh I didn't mean to leave you hanging for so long!

The biggest setback for me so far has been myself, honestly. Every time I'm about to launch into a full scale business plan, I start second guessing myself, and then it never happens. At this point I mainly give away the soap I make, or use it myself! I am planning on visiting a couple of farmer's markets this summer (as a vendor!) so if that goes well, maybe it will finally give me the confidence I've been needing, haha.
Sorry to hear about your partner. I know how challenging dry skin can be. Feel free to PM me if you'd like me to ship you some soap to try! no cost, obviously. 😋

I fully agree with you! craft therapy is the BEST therapy. I know that during the height of the pandemic, creating was probably the only thing keeping me sane.

Also, if you still have extra eggs you don't need, I'd be happy to give one a good home! No worries either way though. 😊
