Why Such A High Proportion?

It seems there is an unusually high proportion of males to females when it comes to eggs... is there a reason for this, or is it just completely random? I say this because of my thirteen eggs at present, only one is female, and it seems ti should be a bit more even...


Looking around, it may well just be me and the luck of the draw, but it was certainly enough to make me wonder.

its probably just luck, because my friends cove is almost entirely female :/

Probably just random, but I wish we could choose...I've gotten so many eggs where the name conflicts with the gender xD
