Ping notification (possible) bug

I made a post where I listed side accounts multiple times to say (creatures from x cove), in one post, and my side ended up with 4 pings. I was wondering if it was supposed to come through as a seperate notifictation for each ping in the same message.

For instance, if I wrtie @krusdot @krusdot @krusdot (my side dont worry), should it show up as a notification 3 times, or is that a bug?
