Thief Shop Success Rates?

Egg costs range from ~10k to 500k+, so does it matter how expensive the egg is? What are the success rates of different egg prices?

I don't have any solid numbers, but looking back through my posts on https://eggcave.com/forums/topic/52412 it seems a lot of my successes are at the over 470k mark. But I also have a lot of failures at that level as well. It's that price bracket that is normally waiting for me in the shop. In saying that, I have a post about getting a Dilloton for 89,919 ec (March 30th 2024), and I'm sure I've picked up something at about 30k. I basically keep a log of what I've spent that I transfer to there when I get a successful selection.

I see the Thief shop as an ec sink. And buying the eggs is a gamble. I only go when I can afford to lose the money for no return. So in total I spent the 90k for the Dilloton, but have spent 5 mil before getting something before. Current try is at about 1.2 mil over 3 approaches. But the lure of a Requin is very strong and keeps me going back.
