Hi im Vic, found Eggcave through Chickensmoothie. I don't know anything about this site but it seems to be similar to neopets. I really like pet related sites, sharks (special interest), im learning to program (html, css, js) and i do practically every creative hobby (crochet, sewing, knitting, painting, drawing, learning drums, writing etc). So yeah that's all :]

sharks are super sick! they're so misunderstood ☹️ they're just big sea dogs, really.
what's your favorite species? I think the basking shark is super freaky but in an almost cartoony way. But I think today i'll go for the goblin shark purely because it's a deep sea fish, so that gives it extra cool points. also it's soooo old, so it's like a snapshot of millions of years ago...wowowow

I love sharks too! they look so... pettable... (even though I know I'm going to get screwed if I boop 'em 😭) Idk much about them but I really want to know so feel free to share shark facts... I guess?

Sharks are really interesting!! But please, despite some sharks being really nice please remember they're still apex predators, and some sharks are known to be aggressive to humans :[
Id say my favourite is the swell shark or the Epaulette shark, both are really unique, the swell shark lays "mermaid purse" eggs and as a form of defense mechanism, they grab one of their fins to swallow a bunch of water to swell up to 2 times their original size. The Epaulette shark can survival a few minutes out of water and walk along rocks like prehistoric fish, they're also a pretty recently species!!

I also do a bit of programming with html and css specifically (js can lick my toes) - what kind of programming are you interested in?

Its really nice! I like that it's really chill and you can get creatures so easily, the quests are a bit difficult tho but I always had trouble with these types of quest mechanics so that's nothing new lol.
In general im interested in web development, im currently making a portfolio for my art and such as a first project using mostly basic html and css (js can ALSO lick my toes I hate it nothing makes sense). Later in the future I want to make a web game similar to chickensmoothie :]

@victheshark god, yeah, the quests were a bit strange for me to wrap my head around as well when I first got here (so many moons ago). You'll have to let me know if there's a creature you're keen for out of the vend machine (where quest tokens get spent), I'd be happy to gift you one if you'd like.

I swear JavaScript is like... A whole different language. I mean, OBVIOUSLY it is, but everything I understand in CSS and html feels like English. JavaScript? That mother is french as hell to me.

Javascript is alot more mathy I think, maybe that's why it seems so weird. I'll get to it eventually lolll
